  • Nice I love smoker boxes!

  • can I'm make my own smoke box out of steel?

  • next time show the actual positioning of the bird on the grill

right over the smoke box?? to the left of the smoke box??? right???? how about cooking times per pound

    nice demo

  • I have a questions. I have a cooker, and have always used gas. The new cooker has a smoker box on the front of the cooker. Any advice in getting the wood going and building a good smoke?

  • Very informative!

For years I've been die-hard charcoal BBQ and fire-pit guy. Recently we were given a massive gas grill as a gift...we'll be smokin' some beer can chicken tonight!

Thanks and cheers from Canada :)

  • Great video explaining how to use a smoker box, especially for a beginning griller like me. I'm going to look at all of your videos. You explain everything very clearly. Thanks!

  • This is a great "how to" for a first time person trying to get more flavor out of the gas grill. The gas grill is the best because it is instant on. Just need that "charcoal" taste that you get from traditional briquette BBQ.

  • Thank you very much for your information I found it very helpful!

  • @4242REDMAN damn dude u need a hug

  • @4242REDMAN U mad, bro?

  • So when you grill your food do you place the meat directly over the smoker or does it not matter?

  • Sorry friend, can I use charcoal for my smoker box ? Thanks for your information.

  • NICE video, true I maybe bias because I have the same grill. LOL. I was just looking at the stainless steel smoker box one at Lowes yesterday.

  • i have a charcoal chimney im gonna put hickory charcoal in it then put it on a grill that uses charcoal omg does it taste good with any food u guys should try..

  • You don't need to use a smoker box,I use a 10 inch cast iron skillet and it works really good and you can put bigger peices of wood in it instead of just chips

  • is it normal that my smoker box flares up? I pretty much everything you did but it always flares up. Does that mean my chips arent soaked enough ?

  • dont add watered chips to a hot cast iron smoker!!!!!! it will explode... :(

  • Excellent Video thanks for the help

  • GREAT JOB!! Cant wait to use your technique and insight!! It is going to be 80 degrees this weekend out here in Maryland... Smoking on the grill here I come!!!

  • i scratched my screen...

  • This was great thank you so much for the information. I read instructions on the pack for the box but they leave out a lot of the little tips you gave. THANK YOU!

  • I was going to put my smoker box on top of the grill grates. Now I know better. Thanks for this informative video!

  • love the apron

  • I wouldn't agree that hickory is the "best all round" wood for smoking. Anything you smoke with it will end up tasking like bacon.

  • when is this a bad thing?? :) jk

  • great video very informative.you should post more videos with tips like this.i do have a question though, can i use more than one smoker box at the same time?

  • Yes, you can use many. I have seen then used to create an indirect heat area on the grill
