Actually not, he recovers from his bullet wounds and....after being held by (I think) CIA operatives for "debriefing"....they're reunited at the very end.

I loved this movie. Very romantic. My favorite part is the steamy love scene in Venice when Paudge is chasing Janine down a street, then wraps his arms around her waist & playfully pulls her into a side alley where (after she glances to make sure no one's coming) he gently & romantically makes love to her from behind (honest!!...check the movie and you'll see). The look on her face is captivating, convincing & priceless. She's so beautiful !!! I hope we see more of her again as time goes by.
