true enough a number of bjork songs are irritating, the sheer creativity of her work is undenyable.

This song is about how everything is just out of your reach...the cookie jar, pacifier, making your legos work, a child biting his fingernails then an adult biting his....childhood slips away. The problems of youth are replaced with the problems of adulthood. The middle-aged obese man [with a briefcase] hopscotches like a child perhaps idealizing that youth was a carefree time [a symbol of midlife crisis] until he is knocked down and forced into reality. This video reminds me of my childhood in the 70's. That's how everything looked- the house decor, the clothes, the hair styles, etc.

I think that many people idealize youth and remember only the good. Therefore they think their lives were easier when they were younger and had less responsibility but the truth is- EVERY age has its advantages and its challenges/frustrations. I remember the frustrations of being younger and I wouldn't want to re-do anything. :)
