Looks like a lot of people missed the point of this genre of music especially the point of this remix. It's electronic, synthetic in every way to imply some retro nostalgia. Autotune is the same as using a synthesizer. I think its very fitting for this remix.

@TheArmoredCat Usually I don't care for autotune either but when it's used stylistically like this song, it doesn't really bother me. They used autotune here because it fits the techno style of the song.

Remember, Cher popularized autotune by using it stylistically at first, it was the no talent hacks that used it to hide their awful singing that gave it a bad name.

Autotune is common these days so you have to expect it to appear even in Sonic games.
