I'm an ectomorph as well and I noticed a big difference when I eliminated cardio from my routine. And I eat a tub of nutella everyday, I eat tons of junk food I heard that's a bad idea but I don't know why because the sugar just turns to fat and then you use that fat to burn when you are working out then postworkout eat tons of whey protein and then casien when you go to sleep for the slow absorption.
Keep at it bro, you look great. I'd obviously recommend going on a dirty bulk to raise that BF% while putting on more size. This might be really difficult for you as it seems like your metabolism is fucking crazy, but it's possible.
If you wanna get bigger you just gotta eat more, while keeping up the training of course :) I KNOW you say you've tried it. But i dont care if you eat like Jay Cutler. If you are not growing you've got to eat even more!

I've been on and off creatine many many times. I usually gain 8-10 pounds while on creatine, but I lose it when I stop taking the stuff. It's just water retention.
Very cut. Hardgainers usually are battling a high metabolism and catabolism. It's just more expensive for hardgainers to put and keep on muscle. Just eat every 3 hours, protein in every meal, and increase your calories. There's lots of nutrition articles for hard gainers. If I can throw on 45 lbs of LBM in 9 months, you can too.

You are not a hard gainer. I was very low BF with a very small amount of muscle and when I started working out, I was under the same "hardgainer" impression. But hardgainers don't exist. Only undereaters.
2700 is not a lot, in fact, it's a little. I eat WELL OVER 4000 calories a day, some days 5000, with 250+g protein/day. If I don't do this I won't gain muscle, but when I do, I'll gain muscle just as fast as a mesomorph.

It's not a decision at all,,,it's just that I can't eat more than that. It's not that I don't try to eat more, but I just get full very fast. When I try and eat over 2000/day I make myself sick from eating when my body is telling me it's full. The only ways I have been able to gain weight was when I first started lifting and gained 16 pounds, and when I was taking cyproheptadine I was eating almost 4000/day and gained 22 pounds. I just can't eat that much naturally :-(

Start by increasing by just 200 calories a day. That's a banana and a small yoghurt. Then, the following week add in a handful (about 25g) of almonds or cashew nuts. I've been on and off creatine many many times. I usually gain 8-10 pounds while on creatine, but I lose it when I stop taking the stuff. It's just water retention.

Very cut. Hardgainers usually are battling a high metabolism and catabolism. It's just more expensive for hardgainers to put and keep on muscle. Just eat every 3 hours, protein in every meal, and increase your calories. There's lots of nutrition articles for hard gainers. If I can throw on 45 lbs of LBM in 9 months, you can too.

Damn man, you look riped! you should try to eat some more, then you will get muc h stronger in shorter time! i'm a hard gainer myself. 9% bodyfat last time a did a check, and i eat A LOT, like 2700 calories a day. i think its a good thing being a hard gainer, cause you look much more rippedeven when you eat a lot and add on muscle. but u seem to have almost too litle bodyfat. start eating and gain muscle ;)

You are not a hard gainer. I was very low BF with a very small amount of muscle and when I started working out, I was under the same "hardgainer" impression. But hardgainers don't exist. Only undereaters.
2700 is not a lot, in fact, it's a little. I eat WELL OVER 4000 calories a day, some days 5000, with 250+g protein/day. If I don't do this I won't gain muscle, but when I do, I'll gain muscle just as fast as a mesomorph.

@NutritiouslyHigh True that man, when i first started, I gained barely anything in six months and was eating six meals a day plus protein shakes. But I was still around 3000 calories and like 150-200 gr of protein. us true hardgainers need more.

@skaanescrew I'm not a hardgainer, but I just get skinny and weak if I dont eat more than 3000 daily. Friends of mine who grew up "hardgainers" (still tall people mindyou) eat closer to 7000....

@Faceofscar It's actually the exact opposite, my left pec is slightly larger than my right one. My left pec is raised up higher on my torso because I have no problems training the lower area of it, whereas I have trouble hitting my lower right pec, so my right is "flatter" to my body. The left is more developed.

@boochieboy814 Dude, if you're only eating 1500 calories a day you're not a "hard gainer." I challenge anyone to make significant gains on such a small calorific intake. Is that a conscious decision? I admire the fact that you're taking steps to improve your physique and keep healthy but you a running the risk some serious long term health problems if you don't eat more. Not hating, just concerned, bro :) You should be on AT LEAST 2500 a day.

It's not a decision at all,,,it's just that I can't eat more than that. It's not that I don't try to eat more, but I just get full very fast. When I try and eat over 2000/day I make myself sick from eating when my body is telling me it's full. The only ways I have been able to gain weight was when I first started lifting and gained 16 pounds, and when I was taking cyproheptadine I was eating almost 4000/day and gained 22 pounds. I just can't eat that much naturally :-(

@boochieboy814 Trust me, you can. I used to be in the exact same position. The key is to never eat huge meals. Eat a little and often. Don't jump from 1500 to 3000 in a day. Start by increasing by just 200 calories a day. That's a banana and a small yoghurt. Then, the following week add in a handful (about 25g) of almonds or cashew nuts. Carry on in this fashion and your stomach will stretch. By eating a little and often you will raise your metabolism and feel hungrier. It takes time but you can
