  • All of Queen 2 - awesome.

  • great track.

  • queen = LEGEND , listen to the song no one but you , the most beautiful goodbye u can give to a m8 , they did it , great band , and freddie was and is and wil bver be the best singer on earth

  • Beautiful...

  • Better than the album version, sounds a lot like they played it live (extra drums in the first verse, piano in the second verse onwards, electric solo with delayer etc). The album version seems a bit dry now by comparison :P

  • @9tome6

    i like both versions.

album version sounds dry to you?

the album version sounds sadder & lonelier to me tho. perhaps it's because it's due to fewer instruments; i'd rather think it's more "restrained" & "clean" than "dry"

    regards,

  • @gee1996 maybe vocals better on the studio recording, creative element and improvement upon on live version. Excluding "bad" live vocals/sound quality...don't most people usually prefer non studio? There's more Fred in this and less Bri, so maybe that's a preference marker.

  • kinda reminds me off bohemian rhapsody...

    can anyone tell me why...

    oh yeah i remembered...

    they are both awesome!

  • Stunning!

  • please, let all of queen one day be back and young again, and make music like this. even but one day, one day would feel like eternity regardless with such purity.

  • This version is beautiful! What does this CD version? It is unforgivable that does not leave the CD mastered Deluxe Queen II 2011 (which if recovered live at Hammersmith Odeon Version 1974).

  • It's really hard to imagine another decade that might pass by with out Freddie :/ He's gone but his music will live on but on the other hand, it's painful to imagine how he IS gone and that I'm getting more and more attached to the wonderful music he's made :(

  • The fact that freddie is gone makes the wolrd much less awesome...

  • Where did u find this version ?

    Unique and wonderful !

  • Happy Birthday Freddie, even though its a few hours late.

  • @Jev414 Go bugger off somewhere else

  • If only there was a love button

  • beautiful.

  • The thing I like about the vid is that it contains pictures of all the members :] *Queen forever <3*

  • why am i crying every time i listen to this? simply masterly!

  • I saw their first two tours and I have never seen any other audience come close to worshipping the band as the Queen audience did. This was a year or two before they became famous in America. early queen rules. Later Queen kind of got syrupy.

Kind of like what happened to Genesis when Peter Gabriel left.

  • My eyes are wet while hearing this.

  • It's beyond hard for me to watch "The Show Must Go On" and "These Are The Day of Our Lives" without crying, because of Freddie's illness and how fragile he kept getting. How the media kept going after him and not leaving him alone. It's songs like these that make an impact on my life (I don't know about the rest but it has for me). Freddie was diagnosed with AID's in '87 but released "Innuendo" in '89. Amazing man to still continue his music even in illness? Believe so. LONG LIVE FREDDIE MERCURY

  • Why cant I hear this on the radio? So sad..........As it began.

  • i actually think this might be the best version of this song that ive heard.....

  • Gorgeous.

  • Where did you find that picture of Freddie at 0:12? That looks like the one from the Killer Queen single, which I've been looking for a bigger, HQ version of it FOREVER.

  • ladies and gentlemen THAT is Rock !

  • this is awesome, screw today's music

  • Wooooow, Muse must've reallly liked Queen. I've listened to Queen for a while, but just recently got interested into their earlier stuff. And i've always listened to Muse and heard the similarities between the two, recognizing the clear influence muse got from Queen but until i heard this song i had no idea how much of an influence Muse got from Queen. This one Queen song kind of Somes up the basics of all the songs Muse has written. Btw not exactly a bad thing.

  • The lyrics and music are really great (well, the song itself is great)! Thank you Brian for writing this masterpiece :)

  • Very well said ...

    LONG LIVE THE QUEEN !!!

There is nothing like this ...

  • LOVE THIS !! Queen ' White Queen' covered by new band I Am A Camera .. check it out.

  • next to my brother freddie is my idol.....LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!

  • if freddie was still alive. we wouldn't be in resession, there would be no natural disasters, the miners would have never got trapped, the oil spill in would have never happened and music would still be alive.....

  • Definitely a masterpiece.

Brian's solo at the end is pure emotional impetus.

    One of my favs, indeed.

  • I think the solo from "Beyond the realms of Death" by Judas Priest has the same backing chords as Brian May's awesome solo here. Great stuff.

  • Regal, Majesterial......MAGNIFICENT ! Queen Rocks, Rules and Reigns without equal...

  • Well.... I have a new favorite Queen song.

  • that was a nice version of this song. wonder why they skipped the pianopart on the record. it's beautiful!!!

  • wow, what a gem!! Awesome version of this fantastic song.

    Thanks for posting!!

  • the guitar solo was what brian did on the live version.

  • Queen was, is, and always will be the best band to ever exist. Period. I don't care about your Beatles AC/DC, your Metallica, your rap, your Coldplay, your Green Day. They're not bad, but compared to Queen, they are all mediocre. I will gladly argue with anyone who thinks otherwise, and I will easily win that argument.

  • @Cowzilla15 - What about Led Zeppelin? Or Pink Floyd? Deep Purple? C'mon, Queen are one of my favourite band, they are better on some points, worse on others. None of 'em is "the best". And anybody will easily win that argument.

  • @Cowzilla15 Well, OF COURSE you will easily win that argument since you're commenting on a Queen video lol

  • @Cowzilla15...Great comment! I know it was a yr ago, but had to weigh in on your fabulous, insightful, & so true remark. I feel the same exact way......that Queen is so far superior to any & all other bands. This after seeing ev live, the B's, the Stones, & all the rest, & barely remembering them.Yet, seeing Freddie / Queen ON TV has changed my life! I never even knew what music could do before Experiencing Freddie & wh he was able to do w/ it! His passion made it come alive! The absolute BEST!!

  • There's no words to describe Queen's awensome music ...

  • Beautiful, Beautiful Freddie.

  • Imagine all the music they would have made if Freddy didn't die. The world would be a much better place if Freddy had lived.

    Queen Forever

  • Rock music gets no more beautiful than this!

  • @gamebeetle Dude, i can only imagine how active freddie would be in the world. I feel like if he had lived to now he would have reached his true peak in music because he would have so much inspiration to pull from in the events that are going on now and that happend within the last 10 -20 years.

  • @gamebeetle yeah... but it was Brian who wrote this

the White Queen seems to be Brian's muse. she's pure, innocent and beautiful

and the Black Queen is Freddie's... she's vulgar, vuse and vile. just his style, as the song

the white queen is an angel, and the black queen, a fallen angel (as the lyrics say)

    they are the same angel.

damn. this antithesis.. between both the queens... is magical.

  • @gamebeetle

I said the same to my mom (who is also a Queen fan) and she just said something like: "Most musicians are at their most creative stage when they're 30 anyway, so it wouldn't matter if he lived"

WTF????? D: How could she say something like that??

  • @BORGNY2

How could anyone say that about anyone? He was more than just his music. He was a human being and from what I've read better then some schum that lives. He's a human-being and deserved to live out his life until he died of old age.

  • @gamebeetle you cant look on the history like that...imagine that morrison, hendrix, joplin, and a lot of musicians that died too young didn't die :P

  • how the hell do i get this version? its better than the studio

  • listening to their early (first 2 albums) stuff live is phenomenal.

  • Those who haven't listen to Queen especially Fredie don't have any idea what music is and how to sing songs.

  • @junaidfaiz not really

  • I love the guitar passage that starts around 2:30. It's so liquid.

  • Four of the cutest, most talented guys to EVER get together!! This song is amazing!

  • Just simply amazing

  • Freddie is the best singer ever! This is one of my favourite songs...

  • Sorry to comment again but this is like the most beautiful thing I've ever heard!

  • So fucking beautiful!!

Music should be like this in our days too... :(

  • So beautiful. I love this song, definatly one of the best songs on the album.

  • MASTERPIECE! THANK YOU!

  • great track-great pictures.thanks for posting

  • they should of done piano on the album version!
