I'm an American and have much appreciation for the Russians!!
They did the majority of the fighting in WWII as our allies and without them things would have been a lot worse.
It's a tragedy that our Nations have been bitter over the years but I certainly hope that in time this will not be the case and that we will be allied again in whatever comes.

Well, the former Socialist states tried to take capitalist items like wages, profit and prize to establish a "state-planned money economy" instead of simply satisfying peoples needs by producing articles of daily use.
But those items were never created to satisfy needs- they just exist for business purpose. This system sooner or later collapsed because the socialist governments never gained the favour of their people for a "better planned capitalism"

I hope you are aware that about 90 percent of all the germans tropps at some point were fighting at the easter front, and almost 85 percent were permamently fighting aginst the soviets. It would have take a lot more lives, time and suffering, but in the end the Soviets would have steamrolled through the entire Europe.
@Alsemenor you aware that if it wasnt of the canadians, hundreds of italian/german submarines would have invaded europe and russia in ww2? if all those u-boats would have reached their target. i'm pretty sure the war would have long way longer and maybe even worse.also that thousands of other germans was supposed to go in easter front, but they could'nt go because thousand of canadians,americans and britishes POW'S escaped. that was the purpose of the organization. to help the soviets.

And even if their subs would be superior in the seas, they would have small use while the soviet tank armies rolled through europe. I do not deny that the americans, brits and canadians did their part. (The Americans did a good job aginst the japanese.)
But nevertheless, germany would probably not be able to withstand the industry and power of the soviets

And that the russians would have the worst navy is not true at all. The soviet navy actually fought quite sucsessfull in the Black Sea amongst other places. And whats the point if the germans would invade every country in europe with ships? They dont need to do that, they only would have to go there on foot.

The soviet fleet was able to fight on equal terms with the germans, their aircraft became more and more effective as the war raged on. And in the end, the war would be won by tanks and infantry. The Soviets would have won anyway, but it would have costed many more years and much more human lives.

The soviet union was never a communist state (a contradiction in itself), it was a transitional state between capitalism and socialism. There are those like Krupskaya who thought the revolution had failed under Stalin and had become state capitalism and there were those like Trotsky who described is a degenerate workers state.I prefer the term 'transitional state'.

What you are saying is not fully true coz the Russians indeed supply them with weapons.. and food. But the problem was the just throw it out the plane. So they fall broken on the ground so it was shit when it came down. They weapons were from the first world war so they were to told to use against the superior Germans.
