I never stated that sales over 500K matter, I stated to the guy challenging my opinion that if lil Wayne isn't hip hop then any hip hop superstar who is selling more than 500k first week isn't hip hop either. Wayne gets a whole lot of hate but through his career and all the transitions, he is hip hop. If you follow his career he has to be one of the most interesting rappers to have developed. Iv seen him go from one end of hip hop to the other spectrum. Don't try to kick knowledge about what real hip hop is. He is real hip hop. Maybe not at this moment but at this moment I can't name a MC that sells more than 500,000 that can be classed as Hip hop.

Some would consider Hip-Hop artists to be artists that can put two and two together to make a rhyme.
