  • Hello there, can you tell me PLEASE what kind of projectyor is that?, everytime you write something ,the projector startts to project it too?. Very helpfull video too, thank you in advance

  • @CCAPriester He is using a "SmartBoard"

I'm not sure how the newer version work, but the older boards would be connected to a PC whose screen would output through the projector. Through some fancy software, you could "write" on the board and then save it on your computer when you were done. Sort of like an overly complicated touch-screen. If you look closely, you'll see the letters are lagging behind slightly as he writes.

  • Hey I liked the video, I just want to see all of the layers, can you finish the video?

  • Not bad of a video also here is an extremely simple way to remember it in Acronym form, I give all credit to my CISCO Teacher, Mr.Reimer

    Please- Physical

    Do- Data Link

    Not- Network

    Throw- Transport

    Sausage- Session

    Pizza- Presentation

    Away- Applications

If anybody needs more info message me and I might be able to explain some more

  • No, hubs and repeaters are not layer 0 devices!

  • good stuff, but why did you stop it. Where is the rest!

  • thanks

  • thumbs up

  • Thanks for the video, hope to see a part 2

  • lol superb ending

  • lol superb ending

  • wow this is really good!! Exam tomorrow just what i needed... :)

  • Your English handwriting is like numbers 57194.

  • LOL best "THE END" ever :)

  • thumbs up for Johnny Knoxville!

  • It's like the seven chakras. That starts with the physical layer and gets more advanced as it goes up. Each layer talks horizontally to the same layer in the other person.

  • rooting decisions?

  • bit confused about the issue of hubs and repeaters...living on the physical layers, yet a switch lives on the data link layer....I have encountered a few times where "hubs" did act as switches....never a repeater though...this could be an issue of semantics, but I have heard of older switches referred to as "hubs"....and they for sure deal with frames on the second layer....just an observation.....it could be helpful to make that distinction....that sometimes "hubs" are called "switches"

  • What does OSI actually mean?

    Open Systems Interconnection.

    But WTF does that mean?

What is the origin of the Universe?

    :)

  • why are you writing the numbers and then you get them reflected on your hand ,, thats tripi...

  • doing my a plus, gana study this video, am getting osi model in my exam, hope it's going to help

  • Good video. Well done.

  • Its a pretty good vid but, I really dislike the fact that routers and switches are not considered part of the physical layer..I mean anything on the network is physical..So it is confusing. I know you did not create the osi model but I think you can see what I mean..Even though in essence, these physical objects you referred to are more of a reference to the job they do..The vid makes sense. But I just wanted to put that out there.

  • @stopthepolicestate - Thanks for your comments, the OSI layer is quite complex and you need to think of the Physical layer just for Physical Cabling. The references to the layers are there to say which of the layers is most suitable for a device. The router is a smart device, smart enough to work at layer 3 so hence we reference it there. Hope this helps! Phil

  • @PLTraining in other words, the layer 1 devices are dumb lol

  • rooters?

  • @vja1970 LOL

  • Please post another video like this... Further explanation of OSI is needed. Too many people are much too simple and don't answer real life question or exam questions. You're doing a great job Phil and we would all like to see more.

    Thanks!

  • you drew numbers onto the screen, but then they turned into light from the projector....cool!!

  • You did a great job. It was starting to make sence to me.Please make more videos.

  • you should have kept going...no big deal that guy walked in....

  • Would really like to see a full OSI video as your presentation skills are excellent. Can't beat plain english eh? Will you do a full one please?

  • Thanx Mang

  • man, such a well detailed session until some c0*k walks in because he was bored. Sessions like these can help people pass exams! So please make a whole session. Thanks

  • Dude... that is awesome! Wheres the rest!

  • thats an amazing explanation. excellant teaching skills. amazing electronic white board.I like the marker/eraser and the way you moved the lil window on the white board. now i understand which layer belongs to hubs/switches/routers. excellent video...sad that it ended abruptly :(

  • like that but chort

  • why is it interrupted, lock the f*cking door when you do a lesson like this :( plz do the whole session and upload, why do something half...

  • I'm upset that it ended so abruptly.

  • Host layers are implemented in software media layer are implemented in hardware

    short but best video

  • iam happy to show this video and use so many easy under stand

  • very very good explaination and very simplifed thanks for the help got any more material in relation to CCNA????
