What state do you live in? I also catch wild fish and snails for my aquariums. I also found another turtle but we didn't keep it.

Think youll find the musk turtle you found is a 3 stripe mud turtle :) But looks nice, make sure you do get heat/UVB lamp for him and indeed a platform
