i hate how some people in my church including myself pray before they go out to the streets to preach but all they do is hand out a tract and say God Bless, a monkey can hand out a lil piece of paper, i want to actually speak to the people and preach unto them, but im not such a bold person. i mean i get nervous just to order a pizza on the phone. Pray that the Lord work in me!

I preach on the streets holding a HUGE banner that says, "Repent!" on it. I don't even have to say a word for people to hate me, they will hate me for simply holding a banner that declares the name of the Lord.

1:00:45 and on is helpful. Turning to Christ (faith) and turning from sin (repentance) are two elements of the same action (the turning). This conversion is worked by God in regeneration, so that the person doing the turning is working out what God has already wrought in his heart by the effectual call in the gospel.  (see Rom 6:22) I'llBeHonest, this is a good anodyne against the Bains and Beetles of YouTube. Thank you.

At about minute 13, brother Paul references an alleged quote by St. Francis of Assisi. Catholic theologians have confirmed that there is no evidence of Assisi ever making the statement. It is nothing more than legend--and a poor one at that.

As brother Paul writely said, the gospel is a spoken message.

Thanks. I'm afraid I've "known" all that for twenty or thirty years. (Just as I've also always known that there is only one Name given...) The thing now is to find out what those things actually mean, how you do them, and why I still haven't done them to this day. Maybe YouTube is not a convenient place to discuss such things. But I'll keep listening to these sermons at least...

I can completely relate. My defining word would be 'sobering'. His teaching creates a unique focus and clarity in me that happens with no other preacher, and I absolutely Praise God for him!!!
