People who compare Oasis with The Beatles are daft. They were one of many influences they had BUT ppl make too much of a big deal out of it. If u listen closely you'll realize they don't really sound like The Beatles. Oasis had many other influences including The Who , The Kinks , David Bowie , Slade , T-Rex , The Pistols , The Stone Roses , The La's & many others. A lot of classic British Rock n Roll. The Beatles were great coz they created a "British Sound" & Oasis carried the flame proudly.

I like Oasis and I appreciate that they loved the Beatles and have no problems admitting that the Beatles were the greatest ever. But c'mon you guys aren't the fab 4 and never will be. Osais had a few good original songs but it's time to stop imitating the best. It's not very becoming. Your covers will never measure up to the original so what's the point? I'm a big fan of both bands BUT you have to keep in mind that Noel's is an "acoustic" version.....minimal instruments used. No one can touch the original it's fuckin genius but this is a great version and tribute to probably the best song ever written.
