Any reason why it appear slower than the original iPhone version?

@taquilo
the iPhone version is developed on more improved algorithm and optimized that single core smart phone.
see the [2009 ISMAR] "Parallel Tracking and Mapping on a Camera Phone".
we just ported PC version PTAM code to Android phone. (it's needed 2.4GHz Dual Core processor)
but we found some methods that work fast on android phone.
please expect next version

@TheBoxil That makes sense. Thanks! I wasn't aware of the ISMAR 2009 paper. I look forward to your new results.

@TheBoxil
Thanks. Looking forward to seeing this progress. Seeing the performance on a dual core phone would be interesting.
Are you planning on releasing the code? If so, do you know roughly when?
hi,
looks really awsome.
is this package still being developed? where can i get more information about it?

@TheArchigadgets
thank you for interesting on our project.
PTAM on android phone project still being development.
it's just implemented simple tracker version.(without map manager)
and actually our code is almost same with orignal PTAM code
