Thing is.. it seems so scary, and horrible because they reduced the population to only 100. I'm not really sure where they would get all these numbers, unless they observe every detail around the world. But if you put it into our population perspective, it makes sence. And this is what makes life, life. Sure it is harsh stuff, but if things were easy... humans would be nothing.

And our policies were, that even small amounts mean something, so the minimum monthly payment was set to 5 euros/month. Imagine that, 5 euros isn't much. Put in to comparison: it's about two coffee cups/one pack of smokes/1½ Big Mac's/4 litres of gasoline/ 2 bottles of coke or 4 cartons of milk. It seems so weird that something, meaning so little to us isn't worth giving up, even though to someone it might really mean a lot to. I'm not asking to give everything, but to do what you can.

As of my own experiences, the weirdest thing is how many people can still say NO to trying to fix this. A while back I used to work a face-to-face charity collector for a childrens rights organization called "save the children". Literally around 99% of the people I tried to get to sign up to giving a monthly payment to the organization, bluntly said no. continues...

But let's go along with these numbers. It states, 8 North Americans, I guess this includes Canada too, and 6 people owning 59% of the wealth. It is probably because they live in America or another country that believes in free market capitalism and individual rights and freedom, and not in a country run by a tyrant like Robert Mugabe, who cuts the limbs of his opponents and has crushed private rights and land ownership leaving his country to relapse into pre-industrial levels.

I can name more countries, Somalia, Argentina, Chile, China, Myanmar, etc. This is the same sort of horror poorly disguised as idealistic, utopian nonsense. If you could turn the population of the earth to 100 people you would have to kill 6.9 billion people. ok i have an issue with the they live on less than so many us dollars because that doesn't say anything as to how much of their own currency they live or the worth of their currency. The prices of goods in their countries will not be the same and will not be in us dollars. I know plenty of people here in Thailand that live on 2-5 dollars a day but with 3 dollars you can eat three meals, so that standard is just not a very acurate portrayal of poverty.

I believe they converted the currency unit into US dollars $ using PPP (purchasing power parity), which means that $1 in the video is the equivalent of $1 worth of goods in the US.

This might help you. Make a numbered list of 100 people you know either past or present. Put your name down first, and then family, friends, teachers, and anyone else you can think of - until you have 100. Then watch the video again. Then when you read a statistic like "43 live without basic sanitation" you can think of it would be like for you and 42 people on your list to live in such poverty.
