  • @DieLaughing96 I am glad that the macebell worked out well for you. They are a great tool and fun exercise. Good luck with your training.

  • I’ll later get a wider pipe like you used to use Olympic plates and for the variation in width of the handle to work my grip a little differently. The best part is with the various length nipples I can load them as light or as heavy as I want. I think they work perfect. Thanks for posting your video!

  • I went to Lowes – bought a ¾” x 48” galvanized steel pipe and it fit my standard plates perfect! I took 1 small standard plate into the store and assembled it right there and it took only a couple minutes. I went ahead and bought two ¾” by 18” pipes and also made 2 Indian Club/Clubbell’s just as easy. So now I have 1 full mace & 2 Club’s with various nipple attachments for $58! (I already had the plates).

  • Just put it together today a bonus is that I have 7ft of pipe left for thick bar exercises !!!

  • I was going to go through the trouble of getting a bowling ball ,epoxy and drilling etc !! Thanks for sharing !

  • I'd just like to chip in that I put one together using almost exactly these specs (1.5" piping fit my plates better) and it took very little time to grab this stuff with just seconds to put it together. So far it works a treat. Not including the plates, the materials cost me around 30 bucks and that was money very well spent.

Thanks a ton for this idea! It occurs to me I could also use it as a thick bar for basic barbell exercises too, with an extra nipple on it.

  • Thanks for the video. It looks like a great piece of equipment, and inexpensive.

  • Good man, you are another thinking person that has beaten the greedy retail system that they use at Torque Athletic with their ridiculous prices for mace bells.

  • Very cool! Adding this to my list of things to try, I got a homemade concrete maceball too.

  • Great job! I've made a few with Concrete using a ball as a form and a shovel handle. This method is much better Thanks for the tip!

  • awesome job ..thanks for the tutorial!!

  • very good!!!!
