  • how did you put the lights in?

  • Hi

I honestly dont know, that loco left my hand years ago. When setting I found the best way was firstly going to extremes and getting it totally out of sync and then adjusting 1 value at speed step between 1/128 to 5/128 and slowly bring it into sync that way. That way it gives you a better idea. Hope that helps.

  • Hi Great looking Jinty, what value do you have CV 57 and 58 set at? I cannot get mine to sinc as well.

  • Good stuff sir, it's certainly much better than my strasight out of the box job BUT........

........ years ago I had a tri-ang one and it SMOKED ! Not only did it smoke but it puffed smoke in time to the wheel turns and the speed of the loco. The gimmick was called "synchrosmoke" (as it was synchronised with the wheels turning and was done by a piston moving inside a smoke chamber inside the boiler. Now let me see you mount that on board too and you can name your own price, lol ! ! !

  • Another great job you have done Martin

  • are there any couplings on it at all?

  • say,how did you get the cab off the loco?....tried the web but brings up other stuff

  • hi, I have a Bachmann jinty too. I was wonder how you took yours apart to gain access to the cab? I'd like to paint mine up and add a crew similar to yours...

  • It's surpose to be 4 chuffs per wheel turn. If a locomotive has 2 cylinders to chuffs every 90degrees of a wheel turn. 180degrees per cylinder because steam leaves when the piston it reaches front or rear, and since the cylinders are set at a 90degree difference you have 4 chuffs a turn.

  • How much would it cost to buy one, good sir?

  • Very very nice model and well fitted - the new lamps from DCC are pretty good too. Not sure about the sway and roll, although I guess it's prototypical! Good Vid.

  • Great!

  • Amazing detail in these new locos Jacques, and a well captured video...excellent stuff...Bob

  • listening to that video it sounded a bit more that 4 beats per rev

  • @GWRkid Hi Might be....but its close enough for me. Cheers

  • that is a realy nice train, i hav 1 i brought it for a £5 at a market and it was a old triang and the man said it doesnt work so i got it and sorted it out and it runs smoothly and and has no problems with it, very good video keep then up :)

  • @andy123412345 Nice one cannot do much better than that. Thanks for looking. Cheers

  • @andy123412345 I know you said this along time ago, but i recently got an old tri-ang one, has the number, '47606'. I would like to get it running again as at the moment it doesnt, how did you do it?

  • Hi,

Where can I buy these locos? Please reply.

  • @LondonMuckShifters Mate you are blocked as I have you now marked as spam.

  • what kind of rolling road is that ?

  • @williamcawdry Hi It is the new rolling road manufactured by DCC Concepts and it is available from most hobby shops in the UK. It does about 6 different gauges 00, EM N gauge P4 etc.

  • @Irish982 is it the rolling road that comes in a tiny plastic case basicly thx

  • nice next time crack her open nad see what she'll do

  • Would it work if I put these LMS lights on a Black 5 that's in BR livery or did the lights change when the Black 5's went to BR?

  • Hi

If the loco is ex LMS it would have kept its lights into BR days. I have seen a couple of B&W photos with A3 using LMS lights in BR days.

  • If you manage to make one it could be a real winner, a lot of people I would think would be willing to buy one, Best of Luck with it

  • Hi

Finally tracked one down Brada make them and they are very very expensive! I have looked at many different options but I just cannot see it being a commercial project.

    Worth a try!

  • That is very realistic sound, can you clean the wheels somehow with the rolling track?

    Well done as usuall.

  • Hi

Thank you for the comments. Now that is not a bad idea at all but I think the loco would need to be well weighted. I think stationery brushes would be the way to go while it is running on the rollers. It would be a difficult job to incorporate into the rollers. That is actually a very good idea the more I think about it. Lets see what I can come up with. Program while you clean! I like it. Thanks.

  • Will look forward to seeing if you can make one I think a lot of people would be interested in buying one, to clean the wheels now with trying to hold 2 wires on the wheels and clean with cotton bud or the bachman brush is difficult

  • I had a close look at my rolling road rollers last night, and I was surprised how much grime gets onto them. They will need to be retractable so you can use it in "no load conditions". Leave it with me.

    Cheers

  • what is the sound chip?

  • Opps I forgot to mention that. It is a ESU loksound micro sound file by DCC Concepts.

    Thanks for looking.

  • stunning!!

  • Glad you liked it. Thanks

  • Exellent, first class job as ever!
