It useful when you are in the subway rush hrs. help reduce the smells from various body odors from ppl beside you. It also help ease some air quality problem in the heavy smog day. Not a total solution but to some extend, provide psychological relief. Cost about $85.00 a pieces

@supermendoza4 I think It can but not 100% prevent when some swine flu bacterias carriers sneezing on your face directly :p

There is only one reason they keep on making these ionizing machines - the consumer does not know that they do not work. They are able to remove maybe 1 % of particles, but is polluting the air with an unhealthy amount of ionized particles. A water filter is better, but a Hepa type filter is the only thing that can remove enough particles for asthmatics and people with allergy - like me. Don't waste your money
