@MrAerial12345 No, I'm not saying that what you're saying is crap. I just think that there's a better word to use than "emotionless" with what you're describing. I'm not the type that think every art should be filled with gushes of emotions, but at the same time I believe that any form of art, along with humanity in general, should be inclusive of a certain degree of emotions; whether that be an "I will show you what I can do, I will show you who I am."
@MrAerial12345 I completely disagree. If anything, this act is one of the strongest of emotions and the message the performer can express of humanity. If it was emotionless for you, then it was the performer's fault.
Since quidam means "unknown" in Latin, it is up to the performer to make sense of it while still bringing across the wonder of "quidam."
This is her exact routine from Quidam, except she doesn't do the opening and maybe 1 or 2 moves are alternated but she hasn't drastically changed her routine.
@IvanoSalcedo The song when performed as part of the Quidam show and on this video is just called "Tissu" on the sheet music, the melodic theme is what the song "let Me Fall" is written with as it was the album version of the Tissu song on the Quidam soundtrack.
I think Isabelle Chasse is the best tissu peroformer ever I as a tissu performer admire her so much, but i like it better her act with Les 7 doights de la maine, cause there she's more natural and looks happier and sexier
What? There's only one aerial contortion in silks act in Quidam. Unless you mean a different version- because the act has been performed by 4(?) different people. This specific routine is the one that Isabelle Chasse (I love Isabelle!!!!!!!!) did- she never changed her act (unlike Isabelle Vaudelle, whos routine changed many times but, IMO, none of the manifestations of which were better than Ms. Chasse's)
I know; Solstrom was a special Cirque tv series on Bravo. The act itself is the same here as in Quidam except for the height difference, but that doesnt really matter. Actually, the live version is about the same height. You can tell by the height at which she ends the Isabelle in a single crucifix
What's with the shots of the dude cutting stuff up... I do not care about him. Or the vocalist's face, for that matter. I want to see more of the aerialist!
I do also, and for me that makes this even more spectacular to watch. I hate that they took out the opening of the act though, it looses some of the impressive drama, espeically with her oversplit in the back stradle cradle
I sure do! Before I started I could appreciate the physical difficulty of it, but I didn't anticipate how much it would hurt. I'm talking blood blisters and raw skin galore. I have a new appreciation for the amazing things she does.

I love the fast part in her act. Its so hard to do tissues fast, because I'm always told to take my time when perfroming.
I love her hair in this one.

i like the aerial silk in la nouba better.
carebear9745 4 years ago
I wouldn't dare do silk. I think I'll stick to trapeze and lira and heart. Silk... looks so burny!
selphietrabia 4 years ago
some of my worst bruises are from lyra. i won't deny the burns but it's not more painful than lyra and trapeze.
