  • very once in a while it is wonerful to see a scientist to purely express the main message of the human research.. WE DONOT KNOW sience is meant to doubt and observe and NEVER TO JUDDGE...

Galileo, Leonardo, Capra wiyth Tao of physics, Mendel, Majorana, Tesla, Meucci...

    thanks for sharing

  • " we think we know but we don't know SHIT "...Wow...all that money for a PHD and that's the best you got...take DMT and don't know shit. While this guy was fooling around losing his hair at school becoming something that doesn't exist on wikipedia..O_o..the rest of us " reality " believers were paving roads and feeding the hungry. I think I want to study drug use and and ethnic groups to...all aboard to Amsterdam for study purposes of course. :/

  • @InsideOUT37 out of nowhere, into now here.

  • @JNdigital...lol...what are you talking about? =/

  • @InsideOUT37 are you a desert raider bro

  • @Tolstoievsky..what?..desert raider?..bro?..what's a tolstoievsky?

  • @InsideOUT37 you said you were feeding the hungry and PAVING roads, so did you literally do that or are you just talking shit... because if you did, then you are a desert raider... BRO

  • @Tolstoievsky..<----0_o

  • Id like to add that we are NOT aware of ourselves, we INFER our existence, as the one absent point in our perception, (such is the nature of perception) like absolute zero or the singularity. "You can only see what you are not." "I think, therefore I am." "There can be no absolute truth, only inference through lies." Infinity. Humble.

  • A paradox is the only absolute truth, and infinity is just as such; they are synonymous. Paradoxically that truth is represented in lack of absolute truth, for it manifests the opposite as truth. Relativity is the primary mechanism of this paradox. Such is driven by perception which is a manifestation of that paradox. The universe is most certainly attempting to become aware of itself, but it cannot and such is the paradox. To my understanding, this paradox is the nearest awareness. Spot on!

  • I think we can be sure that the god of the monotheist religions do not exist and it is likely that no god exists of the religions of the past and present.

  • Ah we are nothing, nothing. but what is nothing? us

  • poop reality woo

  • Can we first just define what the universe is? Space, matter.. energy.. All else resides in the contextual feedback that's emitted from a very elegant reflexology organ, the brain. This is simply information being fed back to the other various organs in a manner that suits us as we travel through matter in 3 dimensions, what does that say for light and energy in matter, and how it travels through reality. This is all you are seeing when you take DMT, reality without a reflex organ.

  • @Antisyncretism If you can't actually point out what's "new age" about this video then be my guest but I feel like I have a fair understanding of what that means and the fact that it doesn't apply to this video. I never said the "we don't know everything" part proves anything, I said it has nothing to do with New Age. What exactly is the "proper" way to get a worldview, and please explain how you can actually prove that there are sillier ways to form a conception of the world. lol nice try buddy

  • Comment removed

  • @cornflarks seeing drugtaking as a spiritual or awakening experience or gives one insight is common in New Age, that is pushed in this video. The movie is called DMT The Spirit Molecule need I say more, this video is pushing a very shallow spirituality in a 'secular' way, (almost?) all 'non-religious spirituality' in America can be pinned to the word: New Age. Its the kind of movie that appeals to anti-organised religion people who like to consider themselves spiritual: often New Age.

  • @cornflarks As to "prove that there are sillier ways to form a conception of the world" of course.

Relativism is a silly world view that believes that all statements are true, that is of course sillier than Universalism (a.ka. belief in absolute truth) which is the view that there are true and false beliefs.

If relativism is true then the statement "relativism is false" is true and the worldview is true and false at the same time: which is a contradiction, it is sillier than true Universalism.

  • @Antisyncretism Even if this example is true you didn't use it in reference to how gaining insight through chemical changes in the brain is "silly". If you believe in true universalism unfortunately I'm sorry to say you cannot discern what ultimate reality is because your only understanding of it comes from subjective experience. But the point is you can't prove that getting your worldview through psychedelics is silly because you have nothing to support this idea. Once again, nice try buddy

  • @cornflarks what you say assumes that personal experience, such as through the senses can't be trusted I don't share that assumption and so can't conclude with you that I can't discern reality.

Your alternative of relativism cannot be defended, Aristotle was right in his refutation.

"he who says that everything is true makes the statement contrary to his own also true, so that his own is not true" (Metaphysics IV.8.15ff)

Objective reality is what it is regardless of what people think of it.

  • Comment removed

  • @cornflarks 'gaining insight' through drug taking is silly because taking drugs induces illusion.

This video does push New Age this isn't an "Even if" this is certain, reread one of my latter comments where I point out some of the con-cording characteristics, if you look at other clips from this movie its also clear.

  • @Antisyncretism Natural entheogens literally translates to Awakening the Divine Within. They have been used by people from the beginning of humanity, it's a natural drive to seek out altered states of consciousness and our curiosity to use these plants to connect with the divine is a natural instinct. try taking some ayahuasca yourself and you will understand the truth in these substances, they have been proven to induce states commonly associated with the oneness experienced with meditation etc

  • @tryptaminddd " they have been proven to induce states commonly associated with the oneness experienced with meditation" a good feeling doesn't equate to confirming a belief one associates with that feeling. The idea that all is one is simply an error, there are multiple entities this is obvious no amount of sophistry will change that fact. The universe is filled with a plurality. You're whole premise off of which you build the idea that drugs help you spiritually is false.

  • @Antisyncretism all one = ALone, the beings in the universe/ cosmos are common origins at a SINGULARity energetically

  • @JNdigital the fact that I am not you already shows that there is multiplicity.

  • @Antisyncretism (2) an illusion or hallucination is a misleading term in these cases. it is just something you would need to experience to believe for yourself i suppose, but don't be so quick to judge and say it is just silly. using entheogens is taken very seriously in religions and cultures around the world, and it can be an effective catalyst for spiritual development along with meditation, yoga, etc..

  • @tryptaminddd taking drugs is not spiritual its a physiological occurrence and if anything - keeps you away from being spiritual, illusions self-induced or otherwise do not bring you closer to God, in fact delusion can push you away from God.

Delusions are delusions adding a spiritual significance to them is just silly, it is not another reality anymore than having a false memory or schizophrenia or seeing mirages in the desert or seeing things while drunk is another reality, just delusion.

  • @Antisyncretism youre right i would much rather listen to you, then doctors and mathematicians. Thanks for allowing me to realize that

  • @Antisyncretism no its just everyone who wants to watch it should be able to watch it and believe what they want, without criticism.

  • @Antisyncretism "Dont give NewAge druggie pothead the time of day," your right that doesnt sound repressing. And you are being rude to those in the video and those watching and who do believe what they are saying. And i never told you not to believe what ever the fuck you want to, but no reason to be a full blown douche, you should try to re-evaluate your priorities, and maybe do something with your live instead of making-fun of everyone else.

  • Comment removed

  • @Antisyncretism Calling people druggie's and potheads that you do not know personally, and don't know which drugs they use or how often they use drugs, is immensely rude. And it repress' people to comment supporting them, in fear of you making fun of them and calling them druggies. You are rude and condemn something you don't understand.

  • Comment removed

  • @Antisyncretism if youre a dick and have to big of an ego, and sense of self-righteousness to admit it then, yeah somethings wrong with you.

  • @Antisyncretism Super cool story, bro.

  • Smart man, weither you argue for science or religion the truth of the matter is we dont know shit about shit.

  • When does science say it thinks it has everything figured out? Retarded, ignorant talking head.

  • @JeefCakes I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess Dennis (aka talking head) is referring to some individuals in scientific fiends that may say they have everything figured out. Science doesn't say anything because science is a process. Also, science doesn't have a mouth so it is incapable of speaking about it with words using sounds with its face mouth.

  • @MikeRoePhonicsMusic also scientific *fields

  • @MikeRoePhonicsMusic science or religion could induce groupthink, to legions and masses or individuals who are bias or influenced

  • @JNdigital That's true, however if one has a bias, this means they have either a vested interest in a particular belief about how the world works. Or, they may *know* this belief goes against evidence, but may perpetuate the idea due to their vested interests. Science should not concern itself with the outcome. Ask questions, perform experiments, & measure data carefully in an organized fashion.

  • Taoism, Hermeticism, Buddhism, Kabbalah...sciences of the nature of the soul, spirit and aether.

  • Research on vedic scriptures, one of the elder civilizations on earth, that had prior knowledge of flying machines (now unproperly titled as UFOs), its all over they're scriptures, meanwhile hitler's nazi army went to tibet to acquire this technology, in 1937. This goes to show that; yoga, meditation, chakras and the "enlightenment" might have scientific bases that we don't comprehend, it all explains conection bewtween everythin, the ilusion of past and future plus the astral light trascendence

  • Because technology can only get us so far until now.

To be humble means to be unpretentious to be servile to not want to explore and develop and thus we can never achive knoledge or wisdom with humility EVER.

It's a brainwashing and manipulating tool used by religion used to make people slaves.

Well his stupid conclusion is now that you are humble and stupid and don't want to know or explore ...well just blame some magic substance like dmt for the unknown nature of reality.

  • @slevin741 by humble he means, the oposite of acting as if you know everything, instead of an attitude of supposed omniscience in respect to our understanding of the universe

  • @FlaiteOne Respect what ? the fact that we understand few things about the universe so is better to give up ? why is that better ? why do you need to be humble for what purpose ? what do you achieve ? Play the worlds smallest violin why don't you.

  • @slevin741 Damn you dont get it, he says we dont know shit so therefore we should behave in a humble manner instead of having an "i know it all" attitude.

  • From what I've read dmt just fucks up completely with your pineal gland and your brain just resets.

The things people see are just hallucinations made INSIDE the brain ,there is no magic or mystic realm you go to ,they are just dreams. All powerfull drugs change the chemestry of your brain ,i've never done it but it's been studied.

  • @slevin741 It probably does, but it may show some truth behind our subconcience, meditation can naturally generate this particle so it may be a healthy way to try this shit out..

  • @slevin741 The proof is changed behavior and attitude after the trip. Just like any mystical trip, ye shall know them by their fruits. Is the person changed for the better? You need to read up on entheogens.

  • @MrGSmith129 I've read about most of them. The mind is so powerfull it can make you think of the impossible but it is impossible to you because you've never been there before in that state of feeling. I guess it's not possible to ask for proof of something that you can't fully comprehend.

  • The universe has no conscience because conscience is a brain construct and by the way only human brain or developed brain otherwise it doesen't exist. We are the only ones who have conscience ,you don't see other animals being aware of themselvs do you ? "We don''t know mutch so it reminds us about our own ignorance.....it is an incentive to be humble". What bullshit, first of all if we don't know mutch it is not because of our ignorance it is because of the stage in time we are.

  • Cool I have had this thought in my head as well for some time., That the universe, or nature, is trying to understand it's self. I did some LSD and read the be here now stuff back in my teens

  • WHOA THAT'S WHAT I SAID WHEN I WOKE UP, I AM THE UNIVERSE, LIFE, GAINING CONSCIENCE OF ITSELF...

  • It is "intelligent design" the universe is not stupid, nor limited, nor powerless. Limited knowledge? You're right, because I deny the folklore of jesus christ, the violence that takes place through out the bible, and the constant contradiction of words and messages, I am of limited knowledge. Instead of studying an age old fiction novel and believing every word to be true, I waste my time studying the cosmos and psychology and how they are linked together. I must be horribly unintelligent.

  • i think the point of Christianity is to realize there is a God, a smart God who loves us. yea, bring up the bullshit of the old testament, but those were different times and those people were barbaric. thats not my point though, i just don't understand how atheists can act all high and mighty with their LIMITED KNOWLEDGE and say that the universe just came from nothing. if you atheists are so smart, tell me where the universe came from. you cant, only an extremely intelligent being could do it

  • @burtontoker And how do you know it was created by an intelligent being? I as a logical human being, can say that I dont know shit about how that universe started and how the fuck could I? Thats ridiculous to say with certaintiy that YOU know EXACTLY how the universe started. Thats the kind of arrogance that makes religion disgusting to me.

  • @niggasintraining I know it was created by an intelligent being because for there to be obvious design in the universe there must be a designer. You proved my point even more by saying "i dont know shit about the universe, how could i?" you're only a human you will never be able to understand or figure out how it was started without a designer. I know without a doubt the universe was created by a more intelligent being than myself, thats the only explanation. ex: the bacteria flagellum

  • @burtontoker So because something like the bacteria flagellum is complex it has to be designed? Its called evolution.

  • @niggasintraining -The bacteria's flagellum didn't evolve it was designed. When you see it at the microscopic level, it even has gears and rotors. In fact, it has so many parts that if only one was out of place or absent the flagellum couldn't operate at all. Your theory of evolution would mean that there were ancestors in the same family that had non-working flagellums at first. Nonsense! The species would have died out because they couldn't propel themselves to get food or safety. God lives.

  • this guy further proves intelligent design. he says he doesnt know where we came from or how the unverise started, he says "if nothing else, dmt reminds us we don't know very much about anything, AND THE LIMITATIONS OF OUR KNOWLEDGE." he's right, we are such feeble beings, we think we're so smart when really we are nothing. there has to be a greater mind behind the creation of the universe, because we are limited as humans.

  • Silence wants to experience sound and sound want to experience silence.

    Its about Love really.

  • @sweeetly

    Novelty.

  • @owenstuckey18 LOL that would be us :D

Seriously tho, beyond all consciousness, where good and bad, right and wrong can play out, there is that which comes earlier, which is pure space, the void, the unspeakable Presence. And its right here, right now.

    Love your questions.

  • Consciousness doesn't permeate reality, it creates it.

When I think, I am a thought. When I am aware that I think, I become consciousness.

All matter was thought form first.

  • Science is not arrogant, far from it! No reputable scientist would say we know everything! We know lots however, relatively speaking i.e. in comparison to 300 years ago...

sorry pal but you lost respect with that comment

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • I just came to the conclusion that the universe is a mind a brain, that uses only 10 percent of Its true capacity just like our own. The universe Is a constantly expanding fountain of knowledge trying to figure itself out?

  • The Force he is describing.

  • This is the brother of Terence McKenna. He is the real deal!!!

  • "They got a few things figured out and they think they've got the whole thing figured out... but they don't." That is SOOOO true. Man often think they know what IS, what's BEST, how things SHOULD BE. But out knowledge is not even a drop of water compared to the ocean of knowledge / truth that's out there.

  • totally true statments ,,but has any body else every done a massive dose and fought hard the urge to put down the pipe and sit down ,,and instead stand up and walk around ...it takes you to heaven on earth its way cool..much dif than the kalidscope trip

  • Turns out Crystal Meth is actually DMT and DMT is actually Crystal Meth.

    WHAT A TWIST.

  • @LongBongSilvers lolol

  • Vote up for this guy saying

    "we don't know shit!"

    1:32

    lmao

    Absolutely true though.

We will never understand it all, our purpose is to keep understanding and bettering our existence. We've created life over the years! Think about what we could DO with endless time!

  • @youtoober2013 who are "we" and what is "time"...both are thoughts

  • @GG74K its all just a subjective reality

  • @GG74K Sorry let me clarify, I can get a bit abstract...

We as humans will never understand it all, even if we evolved into a more intelligent species they would have even more potential progress to make.

The "we" I refer to who have created life is still technically humans (your mother and father created you and you too have the ability to create life with another) however I was using the term in a much broader sense pertaining to the circumstance of all things... in my own words: God.

  • @GG74K ... "Time" does not technically exist. All things (God) exists period. Not at once, or in the moment or altogether but simply exists. Existence is still quite an abstract term so take that as you will. However, to humans it is the perception of development. You and I are tools of engagement for all things. We discover, understand, learn and this would not be possible without linear development or what we call, "Time".

  • @youtoober2013 we arent bettering the planet though, we are killing it. and i dont know why humans were put on earth and what the point of life is. I just really need some help figuring it out.

  • @DJ5akthi I think we all got something to do here , but hey , find it by yourself its your journey

  • @DJ5akthi The planet is an infinitesimally tiny piece of the entire universe. You need to recognize that even all of human existence is hardly significant. We do what we can not what is "right". REALITY is not subjective but morality is and you see, morality defines your view of reality. So to some, instilling detriment is not an issue. I am very keen on preserving intelligent life so don't get me wrong but we aren't collectively doing much "wrong" either. Earth will outlive humans rest assured.

  • @DJ5akthi As for the latter part of your comment, captainparady is pretty much right. We humans are the only observable lifeforms that can discover and learn about the universe. To find your place in it you must want it bad enough. We are all here for each other literally and on a deep subconscious level; I find lending all of yourself to others is most fulfilling. Like a child growing and discovering their tastes, the universe expands and humans act as it's mindful taste buds. You will see.

  • @youtoober2013 Booyah! Nice words

  • dennis works for Heffter institute. Funded by eugenicists such as ROCKEFELLER. it's the continuation of MK ULTRA (look it up, that's important to do before you think this is a good thing) under a different name. Dennis now works for the EVIL ONES. spread the word, people, truth must be known. MK-ULTRA, that's where all the missing MILK CARTON KIDS WENT for experiments on them with LSD STRAPPED TO CHAIRS AND BEDS!!!! This is who dennis works for now. C.I.A. criminal activity. fact! no debate!

  • allow for the mystery, no, embrace the mystery, knowing full well we can never learn it all, loss of ego, warm water and lots of colors, everything has a right to be here, whats done is done, what is, is. adjust. optimism could change it all, acceptance. faith. all is well if all is. -rocklobster15

  • WE. DON'T. KNOW. SHIT. -Dennis McKenna

  • The main reason Stephen Hawkins has always turned me off, the guy thinks he has all the answers and can explain everything.

  • @GG74K

Same here. Trying to explain is one thing, but using intimidating scientific jargon along with random equations in an attempt to explain damn everything is another.

  • I think he's saying that science's conceit is that it thinks of itself as the one way to answer things. That scientists admit to and are excited about not understanding something still takes for granted that they can discover the answer through observation of and experimentation on the physical universe. If I understand this guy correctly I think that he's trying to say, right or wrong, that there is more to the universe than what we can perceive through the lens of modern science.

  • I find it very interesting when I hear someone assert that science or the scientific community is arrogant. They've answered quite a few questions about nature, and it seems that serious scientific journals and studies are thrilled whenever they discover a new mystery that seems to challenge previous understandings.

  • (CONT.) I mean really, he experienced a powerful mental state due to a forced chemical imbalance in his brain that HE couldn't entirely make sense of (obviously because our sober brain and the chemical balance that makes it so evolved for a good reason)... and therefore scientists are arrogant (I presume because to some they are perceived as people who think they know EVERYTHING, which is bullshit).

  • (CONT.) I believe (and know from experience) that these substances can produce meaningful experiences and have a place in human lives but it just gets me when people call science "arrogant".

  • This is why there's science and there's philosophy. DMT is more on the philosophical side of things.

  • @trisky1234 dmt would be along the line of chemistry, neurology, and metaphysics not philosophy.

  • @lezsmokehaze420 metaphysics IS philosophy.

  • @trisky1234 yea its a branch of philosophy because your voicing opinions and theories but thats like saying a metaphysics teacher is a philosopher and nothing more. It's just not true because they use science to back their beliefs or more realistically the science creates thier beliefs. All I was trying to say is I wouldn't consider someone a succesor to socrates for smoking dmt.

  • @lezsmokehaze420 The subjective effects after it has shaken hands with your HT receptors would be philosophy

  • @LemonG08 Uhhh no it wouldn't unless the dmt is allowing us to see real dimensions in this universe as opposed to a hallucination.Philosophy is not just voicing an experience lol you need to have a factual basis to work off of.Although I myself believe there is something real to the dmt based on similar trip experiences but nothing worthy of labeling it a mind teleporter to different realms. So don't get me wrong I'm all for dmt research and it is one of the most interesting things on earth.

  • @lezsmokehaze420 From personal experience with many different hallucinogenics including dmt . I am completely convinced with the little we do know factual wise that all of them in some way have opened certain paths that led me to try newer stronger ones. But they all lead to the same understanding of something bigger. Personal is personal I have whole new outlook on life & the chemicals have changed my level of understanding these "doors" . I think its too big to base it on fact just dive in.

  • @WordSonable As soon as I get the chance to dive in I will man.All I need is some phallaris grass and a few other things and I'll be in business.

  • i had a dmt release when i watched this im not kidding. I have been meditating lately, and i was able to reach nirvana for a few minutes, i snapped myself out of it because i thought i was going crazy, i felt and understanding of everything, i saw as i did as a child, it was like an intence mushroom trip
