Ok what it is doing is getting the package list for each of your sources and if you have sources which didn't work properly then it still tries to get them which slows it down. In the older versions of cydia it didn't take this long and also I hate it that if you search something in it and then you look at a tweak or something and then when you get out of it it reloads it just makes me so angry

I think a stock iPhone for a person that just wants a basic phone is fine. But if you want a phone that you can make your own then you should buy an android device. I love android and could never use an iPhone again but might try wm7 someday for fun as a backup phone.

I used to jailbreak my iPhone before and to be honest with you it's not worth it. The phone gets slower, the respring is annoying, and it makes your phone more vulnerable to malware. Some apps have cool tweaks, but overall it's not worth it.
