although he is technically very good, whilst watching this I had an overwhelming sense that he was missing the point a little bit. repetition and a frequently used assortment of licks dominate this mediocre solo. a solo is more than scale exercises

Et j'avoue, ce solo est joli, propre etc.. Mais pas de quoi casser trois pattes à un canard. Pour en rajouter quelques uns, Rory Gallagher, Roy Buchanan, Robin Trower ( pour ne pas citer Hendrix..) Duane Allman, Derek Trucks et bien d'autres font beaucoup mieux dans le même registre.

Compared to the like of Gary Moore, this solo is pretty poor. The guitar sound is rather weak and muddy for starters.
