I recently lost a chick that was only a couple weeks old. I got her from a flea market. She was beat up on by other chickens. I cared for her so much. I sang to her, and held her, and talked to her like she was my own baby. I feel so sorry for your loss as well.
I could understand if it was a dog or a cat, I used to have both. The cat had to be put down because of cancer, the dog because of age and poor health. But a chicken??? O.o I guess I just don't understand that.

God bless you for trying to save her, I love all of my pets (all are rescue animals) and this year I bought chicks to raise just for the eggs, I was surprised at how smart they are and now I love them too, this world needs many more folk like you.

I feel SO sorry for you :( That chicken must've been a great pet :) I know that I raised ducks before, and they died because of being too sick and I wasn't able to cure all of them with my vast knowledge of medicine for both animals and humans.

God bless your heart for being such an angel to those who can't speak for themselves. I always say animals are the most innocent and caring creatures in this world. I pray and am in tears for Sunny. I know he is like all the other animals, in heaven and greatful to of known you if even for a short time in life. God Bless....

I cried so much watching this! I just broke down seeing that poor baby so sick,and my chicken named sunny just died yesterday as well.

She never had a chance to be a pet. I only had her for 5 days before she died in surgery. SNIFF But her sister Scarlett is a wonderful pet.

one of my chickens Ivy passed away last month and i had no real way of saying goodbye to her...so i this was a perfect idea
