Very cool. So what are you doing to the vcrs? I've got two working, one with recording capability and so far my manipulations have been limited to summing an analog signal from one vcr with the analog out of my dvd player, which produces some cool shit but all kinds of sync issues. Hence I can only do a couple generations of 'overdubbing' before the signal is just unreadable by my TV. Any thoughts?
this video is 9 screens playing vcr tapes and using manipulation to create the effects. after manipulation i would put the new tapes in the vcrs and start again. all of the audio is circuit bent instruments played live. to disappoint there was some slight video editing in the end.
some of the objects are green screened. the majority of it is video feedback. There was at the time 9 monitors stacked on a galvanized steel rack with two vcrs doing all the editing. the original had no green screen (but until recently i had no working vcr) and i will try to locate and post a video response, it is very similar.

looks like the beginnings of a viral marketing campaign of some sort... like the trailer for manhunt 3 or something.
I'm waiting for the guy with the knife to show up in the vid. it's freaking me out.

Looks and sounds way cool, but was the multi-screen effect edited after the fact or did you bend an old VJ mixer? Please explain.
