OMG, like the entertainment industry does not make enough money. WTH is wrong with people? I teach upwards of 150 children and adults every week and I make 350 dollars a week. 350$. I work with disabled Americans at least 2 days per week-but usually more. I sometimes have to tend to their personal needs. It is humbling, tiring, testy work but I love helping people and being a role model. I love the laughter I share with people every day. I feel like that is even being threatened...its too much.

he notion of patents and copyrights is ludicrous. No idea is truly original. EVERYONE builds on ideas that came before and only add a little difference. When you copyright/patent something and label it "Intellectual Property" you impede progress under a pretense of ownership of ideas. For many this hasn't "computed" in their minds. Artificial Scarcity and Manufactured Obsolescence needs to be brought to the forefront of the consumers' minds so they can demand to know why they are wasting their money.

Recently, some jurists have been trying to apply "water rights" as a model for "intellectual property rights" see for example Richard Epstein's work on this. There are complications as you might imagine.
From my perspective, intuitively, all and any knowledge cannot be owned by anyone and this includes the discoverer. I would classify such knowledge as trade secrets and be done.

OMG, like the entertainment industry does not make enough money. WTH is wrong with people? I teach upwards of 150 children and adults every week and I make 350 dollars a week. 350$. I work with disabled Americans at least 2 days per week-but usually more. I sometimes have to tend to their personal needs. It is humbling, tiring, testy work but I love helping people and being a role model. I love the laughter I share with people every day. I feel like that is even being threatened...its too much.
