do you have to set Maya to recongize a gpu to use? when i go to my gpu drivers while its rendering the video it shows that the gpu usage is at 2% i have a gtx 550 ti
i don't know whats wrong, i followed all your steps and it didn't fall at the end. and, i did use the gravity, and it still doesn't work. is there anything you could help me with?
@ghales705 Did you make all the shards active rigid objects? If you did do everything right , the only thing I can think of is that your computer might not be powerful enough to render everything quickly.
@ghales705 Sometimes the preview won't play smoothly, but it will render fine in the end. I'd credit that to the GPU, or lack thereof. Having a legit Nvidia GPU with PhysX will greatly speed up previews. There's really nothing else I could think that would help you. Hope you figure it out! (And that's quite the hard drive you have there btw... ;)

@jayes141 i don't think it would be the computer, what type of computer do you have, i have a 4gb 2.5 ghz iMac, with a 1000 tb hard drive.
