  • i love jeff.. he is Awesomely kool

  • A magical night of music. I can feel the love,

  • worst polka EVER!

  • vinnie colaiuta > any drum machine doing an electro beat

  • what a sensibility!!!!!!!!!!

  • My hero does it again

  • very very sweet drums indeed

  • Jeff will go down as the guy who invented a new science... Stratology!!

  • he makes it seem so easy , but that song is really tough

  • am i in heaven ?

  • The bassist is a doll!

  • Is that Steve Perry in the front row?

  • Jungle Love Dreams.

  • such a sick drum beat

  • Beck...nice...Tal...Vinnie...Piano guy...It's a mystery to me how Beck can so fluently play different notes as opposed to the original piece. The flavor remains because the song remains the same in Beck's hands. You know what I'm talkin' about.

  • Hi Jeff,Good song.well doneI subbed and rated,I have some new songs original,I Sing Some Sad Songs, and If I could change the world,All my songs are Original,God Bless.GARY V.

  • For all Beck fans and innovative super guitarist fans in general, check out the Phil Keaggy Band at BB King's in NYC, March 9; you won't be dissappointed!

  • @toddallenhooper........only go if it's doing you harm :-)

  • Man what I wouldn't give to be able to see Jeff sitting at a dinner table only a few feet away

  • What can you say about Jeff Beck that hasn't already been said. "Nadia" haunts me sometimes and I have to return back to this song. The melody floors me. Jeff's technique is so amazing and it shows in this vid. The micro tuning playing he does with the whammy bar is second to none cuz' no one and I mean no one can cop or play his style. Vinnie,Tal and Jason are awesome. What a great band. My fav Beck line up.

  • Its soooo good I have lost control of my bowels !!

  • having heard the origanal Nitin Sawhney piece it is amazing to me that anyone would attempt to interpret the vocals on guitar and then do it so beautifully. no one but Jeff Beck!

  • @stringbender60 Totally agree!

  • Cantabile

  • you rant and rave about a girl on that bass, but what if it were a dude, you feminist sympathizers are an anarchronism

  • @COMMUNISTPHILOSOPHY That would be where the ladies would come into the picture my friend... ;)

  • Colaiuta is so good on this too...absolutely wonderful team of players.

  • Amazing....

  • he certainly chose one fine bassist. her playing is the sh*t. stuff! even Alex Bugnon (2:34) was lovin' it!!

  • dont really like his tone and playing in this one :(

  • @david8157 At first i too found it a bit sloppy and too much off key, but the more i listen to it, i understand what he's doing. Have you ever heard anyone else play like that? Not me. :)

  • @david8157 I think you should listen again David. This playing is fantastic. Truly one of a kind. It sounds exactly like the performance from the record.

  • My girlfriend just bought me this on vinyl. I replied, "yes, I'll marry you".

  • Can someone please direct me to a local Jeff Beck Annonymous meeting? I'm addicted...

  • @toddallenhooper Im fuckin' hooked too! We gotta start a group, this is getting out of hand for me. :(

  • But what a pity, the Keyboardist is always an invisible backup. He's Good. How i wish if they're appreciated.

  • @jamiepapalardi Buy the DVD - he gets lots of exposure, especially on the songs he "solos" on

Jason Rebello I believe, plays with Jeff a lot

  • Vinnie Colaiuta played for Zappa

  • Great !

  • My favourite song off this album! Just amazing! :)

  • What type of guitar is he using in this song?

  • @RetroKimmie Fender Stratocaster, but Jeff can make you weep with a toilet plunger...

  • he's a masterclass !!!!!!!!!!

  • that air drumming guy is just in the groove, he cant help it. i would be if i was there. but i would use my air guitar. peace

  • Talvin Singh eat your heart out!

  • That air-drumming guy always puts me off

  • @OxenOrb2 haha.....That "Air Drumming Guy" is Vinnie Colaiuta.

  • @bobbysbackingtracks No, no, the guy right next to the stage.

  • what is that, that he uses at the beginning on his index or middle finger?

  • lol where does his slide go at the beginning?

  • That my friends, is what I'd call musical feeling.

  • Tal is steady as a rock.

  • I don't understand why but this song really describes my feelings.

  • I'm going to ask Jeff to attend me and Tal's wedding, he's that good.

  • escuchar esto es un deleite para el oido, jeff es extraordinario q lastima q poca gente lo tiene en cuenta o nunca lo escucho

  • ooohhh I feel the ethnical touch so amazing

  • Yesssss!

  • Mr Beck is the Master.....the unsung guitar hero....the Post Jimi Hendrix Guitar God.....His phrasing and manipulation of sound is second to none

  • Been a Beck fan for a lot of years now and I'm always fascinated by the way he pulls the music from his Fender. There's a beautifully controlled aproach to his playing that gives the impression of symphonia. Beautiful

  • This is music at its best. wow

  • Jeff, Tal, Vinnie: who wouldn't want them as best friends? Vinnie, where did you get that electronic tabla?

  • That wee girl on the bass is pure brill and all the size of her !!

  • didn't I say b4 this is freakin awesome ?

  • Why is this the first Jeff Beck song i have ever heard?!?!

    Just beautiful

  • Wonderful

  • sigh...without a doubt my favourite guitarist! hes like a fine wine, gets better and better with age.

  • this is so good

  • no plectrum means more tonal spectrum.

  • Hauntingly beautiful. Watch Jeff's hands; he is the Ninja of sustain, tremolo bar, and volume knob control (in addition to his chops/musicianship).Why few other guitarists can "sound" like Jeff: You could set up and try to play your guitar the same way, but he's had decades of practice at it. He has mastery level skill at creating the sounds and nuances he does. Even Joe Satriani said he wouldn't attempt what Jeff does with the whammy bar...

  • Jeff Beck is the Best---he is a Master-I've been playing a long time-it is maddening to try and do what he does-can get a little close-but still light years from his technique-

  • GRANDIOSO JEFF, COME SEMPRE,

  • This is of course.......MAGICAL.

  • Wonderful Cover. Amazing in its unique way/

  • T'ween 3:08 and 3:12 the guy looses about a 1/4 pound of sweat

  • This performance changed the way I play guitar. Dude is amazing.

  • master player best of the best

  • I hope she never grows old, he didn't!!!!!!

  • Pure class !! What a line up !

  • the only guy who's fingers can sing!!! hahah

  • When that girl smiles it radiates me with happiness.Thats the truest expresion right there.Bless her.

  • @rastan1977 It's good see someone that gets into the music and really enjoys what they do, how can she not put a smile on someones face with her smile, she's truly blessed

  • @rastan1977 who the bassist? she left school in her home country to come to america to play in the music scene here..shes hardcore !!

  • that slide lived a short life... RIP

  • Check out the dripping sweat running down the nose @ 3:11

  • 33shin33...actually..he use to use a pick when he played the Les Paul, but..since switching over to the Strat and reinventing the use for the whammy bar..it's been the magic thumb and fingers..

  • just awesome , kinda has an indian music vibe to it.

  • @rafaelb1026 There's a reason for that.

  • @rafaelb1026 That's because it's a Nitin Sawhney tune. Nitin is a brilliant British Indian musician and composer - a musical heavyweight with a light touch - just like Jeff Beck!

  • @ltbmuse had no idea of that ! thanks for the info (:

  • Wow!

  • Amazing the way he takes the "voice" with his guitar for this song. Fantastic.

  • Jeff does it for the music, Tal on bass and ex FZ drummer, brilliant.

  • i just got introduced to this guy's songs... does he ever uses a pick ?

  • @33shin33 No...he just picks with his fingers. In addition to giving him a ton of control over the attack and tone of the notes It allows him to also ride the volume and tone knobs and work the tremolo constantly while he's playing.

  • @feedbackbro and Steve Vai can do all of this with a pick and even much, much more :-)

  • @skimam I'ma 56yo, and though I like Vai, He can't touch JB's library. There is also not one player who can get the sounds out of an axe that Jeff does and has been doing even before Vai was a sperm.

  • @feedbackbro And it also establishes him as a musical DEMI-GOD!

  • @feedbackbro That's not entirely true, if you watch Sleepwalk from Live at Ronnie Scott's you can see him using a pick (around 0:15) through most of the song only dropping it toward the end to ride the volume control and tremolo.

Of course, at this point, he's so incredible without a pick that you can just never be too sure. ;-)

  • @jhughs3 Ah, I meant Sleepwalk on "Rock 'n' Roll Party".

  • @33shin33 He used a pectrum in the early part of his career. These days he mostly finger- picks. There and Back from 1980 may have been the last album he recorded where he still used a pectrum.

  • @33shin33 He use to play with a pick back in the yardbird, rod stewart, 70's fusion, periods with some fingerpicking occasional dabbling then he had an accident and crushed his thumb (83 i think) and has been a strick F-picker since

  • @33shin33 Yes - but rarely. He can rip with a pick though - just in case any one had a doubt...

  • @33shin33 "This guy" ? Seriously?

  • @MarkEWallace okay okay i know what you mean .... sorry xD

  • @33shin33 He stopped using a pick around the mid '80s, he was also into Les Paul guitars at one point

  • Almost 1000 likes and only 4 dislikes... wonder whats wrong with those 4 ppls..

  • I would love to know who Nadia was and what she did to Jeff for him to write this masterpiece!

  • THUMBS UP 100X ..... OLD TIMER .... HE IS A GUITARIST .....STILL NO.1

  • @ fezzie666 uhhh nope sorry, he's not over rated. Along with Weckl in the top 5 in the world in any genre.

  • I was sad he didn't play this song in Ottawa yesterday... :( But great show none the less!

  • Not too many guitar heroes would ever end a song with such quiet notes as jeff does here-beautiful!

  • Tal's smile at 1:30!

I'd smile too if I got to play bass w Beck. This piece has been my favorite for so many years. Many nights driving back home with this CD on.

  • I'm in Love with Tal....

  • I love this! what a wonderful combination they both make.

  • cheeeeeeeeeeesseeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Am im the only one who noticed that beautifull couple tits?

  • At 2:06 Tal Wilkenfeld plays a sweet note taking you to another dimension and dropping you back wanting more of the bass riff she plays.

Jeff Beck is a master, this song is originally an indian raag very difficult to be exhibited without losing integrity and melody on any thing except vocals. Saying Jeff Beck's guitar does sing. wonderful piece. listen to the original if you get a chance to, only then you would know how Jeff Beck has amplified it into making it a master piece.

    respect

  • 3:06 is the sound

  • hit the like button if you can hear" the cool computer voice sample sound in the end of the song"...very low and in the backround...but perfect with the DnB type drums...was never a beck fan, growing up and being a guitar player...but no one ever introduced me to his stuff....now i see why he is the best. he doesn't need to cram notes or try to show off although he could)...his playing looks so easy and is just perfect... IF YOU HEAR THAT NOISE HIT LIKE... its the little things in life !

  • @jmgruzinski hi, where is exactly sounding that sample? minute and second please, i can't hear it with these speakers...

  • @Luis1vo

don't have my system hooked up, first i listened to it in a while...def need good headphones or speakers to hear....i think around 3:10 and also half way thru the song as well.... just a cool little sample for added texture, but fits perfectly.

  • i haveth a crusheth on the basseth playereth.

  • @outoworkdreamer ::)) getteth in lineth

  • @ben909ben ha ha : )

  • @QuantumR96 Dude whru typing while taking a shit

  • @jonnyrokr why arent you?

  • dude vinnie kicks ass i mean damn

  • fantastic piece by Jeff beck and nice knockers on the bassist at 2:22 she's really cute.

  • This bassist is Jaco all the way, even in the tone ... but she is great none the less, maybe it's Jaco reincarnated !! AND playing with Jeff Beck,.. what a killer gig...

  • the video would be even better, if they the camera would stay on the sweet bassist for the whole time.

  • If you were ever down, depressed, distressed, feeling blue. THIS song is your remedy. So inspirational and strength giving. Loving Jeff.

  • What can you say? Sublime! Brilliant!

  • how sensitive, how beautiful!

    Music forever...

  • I like the way how is Tal´s bass carpentred for her right breast

  • Jeff Beck? Jeff Beck es especial.

  • Loved his work with Roger Waters. Do youself a favor!

  • Is the word "beautiful" even enough to describe this?

  • Doesn't get any better!!!!

  • I see Vinnie Colaiuta everywhere! He's great.

  • I really wish I was there for this!

  • that was nice!!!!!!!!

  • He makes me weep hes so tasteful. Been a fan for decades and seen him three times but not recently due to health reasons.

  • am i listening to indian classical

  • jeff beckethead!!!!!,,,,,,lol

  • bucketheads father!!

  • great!!great man!!!!

  • Remarkable tremolo player

  • whats great about jeff becks band is that in addition to having the omnipotent jeff beck, you have the best damn drummer, bassist, and keys players i think ive ever seen in a professional backing band.

  • @aceofclubs002 You're so right, this band is so talented on every instrument, it's unreal.

  • @aceofclubs002 drummer is over rated. but yeah

  • @fezzie666 mmmmmm debatable, Vinnie is a legend amongst drummers.

  • @RobertsCharlie i guess i just dont like his style of drumming. I prefered terry bozzio with jeff more then anybody else. Oh and that Andy gangadeen is amazing too. i really dont like vinnie

  • look at his hand, i thought he was making a beatiful painting, turn out to be making his guitar singing :D too clever

  • 4 people lost their jobs to indians.

  • only a musician w/ Beck's sensabilities would think of doing a cover of this unusual melody.

Check out the original Nadia on the 'nubeals' YT channel

  • porra!!que gatinha essa tocando contrabaixo!!

  • Wow. All around awesome. But the Handsonic percussion thing Vinnie does is particularly cool.

  • GReat Beck!

  • Great song! and Vinnie is marvelous!

  • Wow, I didn't know this song... What a great discovery!!! I just can't get that melody out of my head now... This performance is amazing!!!

  • keep in mind jimmy died way before his prime of guitar playing so he was amazing for how young he actually was

  • no one except beck can play this...so smooth. page was a better song writer, but not a better guitarist!
