Beck...nice...Tal...Vinnie...Piano guy...It's a mystery to me how Beck can so fluently play different notes as opposed to the original piece. The flavor remains because the song remains the same in Beck's hands. You know what I'm talkin' about.
Hi Jeff,Good song.well doneI subbed and rated,I have some new songs original,I Sing Some Sad Songs, and If I could change the world,All my songs are Original,God Bless.GARY V.
For all Beck fans and innovative super guitarist fans in general, check out the Phil Keaggy Band at BB King's in NYC, March 9; you won't be dissappointed!
What can you say about Jeff Beck that hasn't already been said. "Nadia" haunts me sometimes and I have to return back to this song. The melody floors me. Jeff's technique is so amazing and it shows in this vid. The micro tuning playing he does with the whammy bar is second to none cuz' no one and I mean no one can cop or play his style. Vinnie,Tal and Jason are awesome. What a great band. My fav Beck line up.
having heard the origanal Nitin Sawhney piece it is amazing to me that anyone would attempt to interpret the vocals on guitar and then do it so beautifully. no one but Jeff Beck!
@david8157 At first i too found it a bit sloppy and too much off key, but the more i listen to it, i understand what he's doing. Have you ever heard anyone else play like that? Not me. :)
@david8157 I think you should listen again David. This playing is fantastic. Truly one of a kind. It sounds exactly like the performance from the record.
This song has the same name of the girl I love.. every time that I hear it I think of her and I hope that one day I can tell her what I feel and that she will reciprocate my feelings..
Been a Beck fan for a lot of years now and I'm always fascinated by the way he pulls the music from his Fender. There's a beautifully controlled aproach to his playing that gives the impression of symphonia. Beautiful
There's a lot of great guitar players and musical styles out there and comparison in nonsense...but Jeff Beck's unique technique and heartful playing is something words can't reach.
Hauntingly beautiful. Watch Jeff's hands; he is the Ninja of sustain, tremolo bar, and volume knob control (in addition to his chops/musicianship).Why few other guitarists can "sound" like Jeff: You could set up and try to play your guitar the same way, but he's had decades of practice at it. He has mastery level skill at creating the sounds and nuances he does. Even Joe Satriani said he wouldn't attempt what Jeff does with the whammy bar...
Jeff Beck is the Best---he is a Master-I've been playing a long time-it is maddening to try and do what he does-can get a little close-but still light years from his technique-
@rastan1977 It's good see someone that gets into the music and really enjoys what they do, how can she not put a smile on someones face with her smile, she's truly blessed
33shin33...actually..he use to use a pick when he played the Les Paul, but..since switching over to the Strat and reinventing the use for the whammy bar..it's been the magic thumb and fingers..
@rafaelb1026 That's because it's a Nitin Sawhney tune. Nitin is a brilliant British Indian musician and composer - a musical heavyweight with a light touch - just like Jeff Beck!
@33shin33 No...he just picks with his fingers. In addition to giving him a ton of control over the attack and tone of the notes It allows him to also ride the volume and tone knobs and work the tremolo constantly while he's playing.
@skimam I'ma 56yo, and though I like Vai, He can't touch JB's library. There is also not one player who can get the sounds out of an axe that Jeff does and has been doing even before Vai was a sperm.
@feedbackbro That's not entirely true, if you watch Sleepwalk from Live at Ronnie Scott's you can see him using a pick (around 0:15) through most of the song only dropping it toward the end to ride the volume control and tremolo.
Of course, at this point, he's so incredible without a pick that you can just never be too sure. ;-)
@33shin33 He used a pectrum in the early part of his career. These days he mostly finger- picks. There and Back from 1980 may have been the last album he recorded where he still used a pectrum.
@33shin33 He use to play with a pick back in the yardbird, rod stewart, 70's fusion, periods with some fingerpicking occasional dabbling then he had an accident and crushed his thumb (83 i think) and has been a strick F-picker since
At 2:06 Tal Wilkenfeld plays a sweet note taking you to another dimension and dropping you back wanting more of the bass riff she plays.

IF YOU HEAR THAT NOISE HIT LIKE... its the little things in life !
