The problem is that even if women do carry a weapn like pepper spray, a knife, a taser or a stun gun, not all of them have the confidence to use those weapons. In addition, those weapons you listed aren't legal in all parts and for some you need to have a permit.
Pepper spray and a stun gun or taser also won't always work if your attacker is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
