Linux is a great operating system. I use it as my desktop operating system. I also do all my gaming on it, and it works great for the most part thanks to the Windows compatibility software called Wine. However, wine does not run all games. For example, wine can not run Punk Buster and will not allow you to play any games online that use Punk Buster. For a keyboard and mouse gaming console, just stick with Windows.

By the way, do all those games really run under VirtualBox?

1. Microsoft will NEVER bundle Microsoft Office full version

2. Windows 8 will NEVER become open source; however, Microsoft did build a store so you can make amazing apps in C++, HTML, CSS and or Javascript and even sell them at the online store.

3. Windows 7 doesn't even support Win 3.1 apps; therefore, 8 will not. You will need an emulator for that. I use DOSBOX and it works perfect for older games.

4. I have Linux so I know this is a skin for Linux.
