on which album is this song and is there any chance to get it in a better sound quality than this? i have 1 fretblanket record (years old), but no song is as good is this shoegazing dream.
Im a massive fan of the Stourbridge railway network so this video has proved really usefull in my extensive research on the subject matter. I have released a book entitled "Wah wah on the tracks". enjoy!
WTF is this?!!! How the hell do you make a song like twisted and turn around and make shit like this? Bring back the Fretblanket that made proud to be a fan.
@TVChockey - hey dipshit, this is pre-Junkfuel. This is their original sound from their "Shoegaze" genre days. The credits at the ending show that this was created in 1991, 2 years before they were signed. It's easy to assume that the death of the Shoegaze alternative style and eruption of Nirvana and Grunge led to them reinventing their sound and releasing the phoenix that was Junkfuel.
Saw them live in 1994 and it was amazing. How do you go from the amazing sound of "Junkfuel"... to this garbage? This sucks. What happened to this band? Junkfuel was awesome, the following album sucked harder than anything, why'd they change their sound???~!?~?~
Found "Twisted" by Fretblanket in an obscure music shop in Soldotna, Alaska in 1995 on a promo cd with Bush and Sponge amongst others. What a great song! Later purchased Junkfuel and would listen to "Direct Approach" on repeat as warm up music before games in 96-97.
The Junkfuel album was absolutely spot on. Just about every track was fantastic and still one of my fav albums of all time. The second album was horrid and Into the Ocean was catchy but extinguished quickly. I was surprised to see it debut on MTV on "12 Angry Viewers" one night while kickin it in my dorm lobby freshman year 97-98 in South Dakota. Couldn't find the 2nd album anywhere until I grabbed it in 2001 at a replay store in Portland, OR. Imagine my horror after listening to it!
PLEEEEEEASE!!! can someone post a song by this band which includes the lyrics '...take off my clothes and drive me to the sea, she just wants someone whos free, how can it be me?....' im so desperately trying to track down this track!
Into the Ocean and anything from their 2nd album was shite. On the other hand everything on their first album Junkfuel was pure Nirvana beating genius.
aphexxx77-Twisted from the album Junkfuel. 1994, PolyGram Records. Enjoy.

classic shoegaze sound, didn't know they sounded like Ride before the mid 90's. What year is this song?
