  • Dammit I wish I could find a tab to this song

  • For 25 years I have wondered who is actually better... Greg Lake, Chris Squire, John Entwistle, Geddy Lee.... I can't do it! I give up. All I can say is they are absolutely my 4 favorites!!

  • Emerson probably composed the bass part

  • What pick up settings and amp eq did you use? By the way, nice interpretation good job.

  • I like ELP's music, but never considered Greg Lake bass playing. Normally think of Geddy Lee, Steve Harris, John Entwistle, McCartney et al. Thanks for the song.

  • @Volvo745T Yep Greg's definitely under-rated - he was probably in the shadow of Chris Squire, John Paul Jones and John Entwhistle at the time. Geddy has mentioned him as one of his inspirations. Greg's known for a lot more than just his bass playing as well - great vocals and songwriting ability

  • Now that's such a refreshing change - thanks for a great vid. Love that sound. Thanks also for stopping before the drum solo LOL

  • your bass tone is very good

  • Great playing and a great cover. Are you playing tirando instead of apoyando? Classic guitar school?

  • Impresionante !!!

  • I've always loved the bass line in Tank. This is fantastic, thanks for posting.

  • DUDE, you, you, you...... I don't have the words. That simply KICKED ASS!!!

My 3 personal favorites are Greg Lake, Chris Squire, and Geddy Lee. I'd pay to watch you play YYZ from Geddy, and Heart of the Sunrise by Chris. How about some John Entwistle? Bravo. Dean from Denver.

  • Cool video, great performance!

  • Nice work. You deserve a better Warwick than a Chinese-made Rockbass Corvette Classic of mid-2000's vintage.

  • what kind of bass is that

  • Phenomenal playing! You've got down, note for note!!!!!

  • are you greg lake you fat fuck! AHHHHHHHHHH!HHH!

  • @HeartAttackMan74 Well your name is HeartAttackMan...

  • Took inspiration from this and did it as a drum cover, (with solo). Won't attach it to YOUR video, (I hate when people do that), but if you're interested, it's on my channel. So, where do you live and when can we form an ELP band! (Just kidding).

  • yeah its real nice..

  • man your amazing!!

where did you find the tabs for that song?

i would love to attempt that songs,

your truely amazing at bass :O

  • Not sure who's under rated Greg Lake, he's certainly made his mark in rock history

  • Greg Lake was a first class bass player... perhaps better than Squire.

  • @jotapecu thems fightin' words :p

songs like this are better than some of squires stuff, but on the whole Squire is the best bassist of all time

  • Thanks for all of the comments. Very much appreciated :)

  • Excellent job!

  • sweet tone. congrads.

  • Brilliant! Loved it. 5 stars.

  • I don't normally swear on comments but that really rocked!

  • You should be ashamed of yourself to have such a name. Go to .....!

  • hey i would like to say nice playing

were did you find tabs for that?

  • Hi,

I'm a drummer and was always a Carl Palmer fan and I agree that Lake was underated as a bass player. 21st Century Schizoid man proved that to me because he was so young when Crimson recorded that. Would love to jam. Where do you live?

  • That was brilliant my friend; I play guitar but bass rocks! Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

  • great job bro!

  • wqw, grande, il mio pezzo preferito, mi hai fatto tornare voglia di suonare ancora il mio Fender Jazz Bass.

  • Great finger control. Overall great job on a difficult piece. A fiver!

  • Wow, awsome playing!

    Very impressive!

  • You're right. He is underated. His bass lines don't seem too intricate, until you try to play them yourself. Then you can appreciate them.

  • OMG! I Have This Exact Bass!

Sorry, A Bit Excited There... :P

    But Cool Bass, Man!

  • by teh way, u deserve something better of a rockbass :)

  • great left hand... awsum skills... but teh right hand is not so technical

  • Well done, thanks for posting!

  • My favorite bass-driven tune and you played it to perfection.

To all of you kiddies out there, THIS is how you play the bass.

  • Impressive!

  • Perfect job. Love ELP.

  • Hey you on Talkbass?

  • Not that I know of :)

  • Stellar!

  • Good stuff!!!
