For 25 years I have wondered who is actually better... Greg Lake, Chris Squire, John Entwistle, Geddy Lee.... I can't do it! I give up. All I can say is they are absolutely my 4 favorites!!
I like ELP's music, but never considered Greg Lake bass playing. Normally think of Geddy Lee, Steve Harris, John Entwistle, McCartney et al. Thanks for the song.
@Volvo745T Yep Greg's definitely under-rated - he was probably in the shadow of Chris Squire, John Paul Jones and John Entwhistle at the time. Geddy has mentioned him as one of his inspirations. Greg's known for a lot more than just his bass playing as well - great vocals and songwriting ability
DUDE, you, you, you...... I don't have the words. That simply KICKED ASS!!!
My 3 personal favorites are Greg Lake, Chris Squire, and Geddy Lee. I'd pay to watch you play YYZ from Geddy, and Heart of the Sunrise by Chris. How about some John Entwistle? Bravo. Dean from Denver.
Took inspiration from this and did it as a drum cover, (with solo). Won't attach it to YOUR video, (I hate when people do that), but if you're interested, it's on my channel. So, where do you live and when can we form an ELP band! (Just kidding).
I'm a drummer and was always a Carl Palmer fan and I agree that Lake was underated as a bass player. 21st Century Schizoid man proved that to me because he was so young when Crimson recorded that. Would love to jam. Where do you live?
Dammit I wish I could find a tab to this song

Great playing and a great cover. Are you playing tirando instead of apoyando? Classic guitar school?

Cool video, great performance!

Nice work. You deserve a better Warwick than a Chinese-made Rockbass Corvette Classic of mid-2000's vintage.

Not sure who's under rated Greg Lake, he's certainly made his mark in rock history

Greg Lake was a first class bass player... perhaps better than Squire.

@jotapecu thems fightin' words :p
songs like this are better than some of squires stuff, but on the whole Squire is the best bassist of all time

You're right. He is underated. His bass lines don't seem too intricate, until you try to play them yourself. Then you can appreciate them.
