It has gotten worse the last 2 or 3 years since phones now have the capability of full desktop internet. You cant go anywhere without seeing at least 50% of people either: Talking, holding or playing with their phones. as for destroying the phone with a drill, theres a lot of other, more fun ways to destroy a phone. hell id throw it as hard as i could into the ground and watch it get obliterated. or burn it. or set off some kind of explosive beside it (on top of my head im thinking of pipe bombs, sparkler bombs, exploding lighters, exploding a propane tank) though that can be dangerous/expensive/illegal/ov­erdoing it. or crush it in a workshop clamp. or drive a car slowly over it. or shoot it (airsoft or real)
