  • Why are there no chademo compatible chargers from siemens?

  • Does this mean cars must be close to the ground...well no more off roading :/

  • The concept is cool but what about the battery? Batteries are not so environment friendly to produce. Battery technology has a long way to go. Somewhere the power grid will need a generator. It could be nuclear or gas. Also not so environment friendly.

  • @dhess140 if you compare with problems of traditional fuel, that's nothing ;p

  • hmm, interesting

  • this is possible if only our government fund the research for a better transport future instead funding to the Army.

  • @GayBoyRunning Don't forget to make a case for why the Army doesn't need as much funding. Otherwise, you'll never convince anyone.

  • @3DSismash well if every one stop starting wars, this world be a much better & safer future for everyone.. Tho today's age the countries around this world are too busy being selfish & greedy, that case fights & many problems.

  • @GayBoyRunning But what about the 9/11 attacks leading to the Afghan war? You expect people to stop attacking the U.S. or the U.S. to stop reacting?

  • Use of augmented reality. Very nice.

  • great idea, but people just dont understand, the amount of power it takes and the time it takes to rechard a car ike the nissan leaf, takes 13 hours constant supply off energy, if your gonna use the stand windmill power plant, it would take weeks to generate the amount of electricity just to charge one leaf, imagin if everyone drived a leaf? there would have to be 500 million plus windmills, thats alot of money....

  • @redghost105 and you have to factor in the pollution caused be the manufacture of the infrastructure to charge all of those "green| cars

  • @mageac so true sir, I didnt have enough space in my comment to add that :)

a green future isn't a very practical or cheap future

  • @redghost105 electric might be the way of the future, but its going to take a long long time before they become practical

for the time being i don't know why nobody makes a hybrid that has a small diesel, i think for the time being it should give us the best bang for the buck, and be pretty environmentally friendly with the new diesel tech

  • @mageac like solar or wind? Think harder.

  • @72mharris the needed infastructure would cost billions of billions of dollars to set up, we would need new generating stations, new transfer stations, new charging stations, upgraded lines etc etc, and these would only serve part of the autos at first so it would take many years to complete

  • @mageac Do it's better start today then waiting and doing nothing ;]

  • Nice dream. but with todays cost of copper , imagine how much expense there will be.

  • in what universe has someone disliked this ???

  • I like this idea. but I have thought bout this kinda stuff for soo many years. siemens contact me if you like to hear some ideas. im pretty sure I can make a new revolution with electric cars. I have so many high tech ideas..

  • Inductive charging waste energy, best to connect directly with plug in.

  • @CarlVanDoren the idea behind inductive charging is that cars can be charged whilst driving. You can't achieve that with a plug in ;)

  • When a 5.0 earthquake happens, How will this inductive energy tech respond?

  • @aznscyth 5 or 6.5 up,5 should be nothing.

  • @DBSpy1 Thank you.
