I'm really sick of hearing how "socialist "the left" is this year, as if the government having any hand in economic issues is a new idea. The only difference is between the government regulating economic issues to the extent that it is convenient for bloated companies in a "free market" full of targeted tax incentives, and to the extent that it's fair and balanced for the American people. Flip-flopping seems to be McCain's realm:

McCain supported the drilling moratorium; now he's against it. McCain believed the U.S. should engage in diplomacy with Hamas. Now he believes the opposite. McCain went from saying he would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade to saying the exact opposite. McCain used to oppose Bush's tax cuts for the very wealthy, but he reversed course in February. McCain was anti-ethanol. Now he's pro-ethanol.
