Manike, you working on any new guns? By new i mean innovative in the complete sense. I see a lot of copying and improving, but not a lot of the 'Manike Magic' of the past. Also, if i remember correctly, you have a bit of a car fetish.. What are you driving these days? ( I remember your post on the old P8ntballer forums in 2004ish after you moved to the States. Corvette and Harley if i remember correctly...?)
It's just that you can see it well because the day was a little humid and because you can see it for longer on high speed than you would in normal time.
dude that was really cool if you haven already you should make a vid on how the desine of the ego works like a virtual clear gun that shows the prosses of the gun shooting
Great Video, one thing though I think it would have been a little better if you had then shown the same footage recorded at normal speed. That way people could see just how slowed down it really is. Great job though and keep up the good work it is appreciated!
I'd love to have you post a video of someone firing a gun with ramping enabled at 13 bps, 15 bps, 20 bps - I think it would be very informative when you slow it down.
This way we could get a visual on the distance between shots at set intervals of cycle time.
Very interesting video. My theory is that after a shot is fired its followed by an invisible "drag" or currents of air perhaps inside the barrel that affect the ball that follows.
The first shot is the money shot. I have always believed that a ball at rest is the most accurate everything else in the string is not nearly as accurate as the first. Maybe this gas shooting out before the ball is proof or something to consider.
Nice video! I couldn't help but notice all the sls parts you've made. we have 3 of the sls/sinter station machines at our work. i work on the machining side of prototypes(cnc mill+mastercamX3) and i would love to work on some of the parts you design someday!peace!
We do make a lot of prototype stuff. You have to when you are trying to innovate and move forwards rather than just copy what someone else is doing.
You learn from your failures and your successes, and the only way to get either is to make them to test your hypothesis and design concepts. :)
We uses to have a Vanguard SLS in house but now we actually have a very good relationship with a local prototyping facility and get most of our SLS stuff made there.
Awesome, good luck with your career. I started out in the Automotive industry, and was luckily enough to work with companies in Aerospace too (doing some consultancy work) before becoming full time n paintball. :)
i wanna see rusty not u
KungFuCrayons 9 months ago
why is he using co2
JaProductions100 2 years ago
@JaProductions100
He isn't. That's condensation of the air when it is fired. He's using HPA.
You don't see it so much in normal speed video, but you can see it sometimes when you play depending on the weather.
manike99 2 years ago
@JaProductions100 you cant even use co2 in an ego you just see the cloud because its cold out

rotor
taylorskater958 2 years ago
My guess is the shots after the first shot are pushing out left over condensation from the shot before.
Makes sence to me.

I'm always working on new stuff. :)
I still have the Vette, but I got rid of the chopper and now have a Can Am Spyder.
manike99 2 years ago
you would have a Can Am! LOL I mean this in a good way, those things HAVE to be fun.

They are fun! It's my daily driver when the weather is ok. :)

This is sooo geeky.

Agreed. But then I am probably the biggest paintball geek there is... so I'm cool with that. :)

this guys are using co2, no way a pro would run co2 through an ego, it ruins the board
crazy4christ36 3 years ago
He's not using co2, that's compressed air.

so, what you're saying is that a closed bolt marker is more accurate than an open bolt marker?
flskimskatesurf 3 years ago
Just the first shot. Every subsequent shot does not matter. Just my observation and my conclusion.

The first shot appears to have bolt stick. Neat to 'see' it for once.

Interesting, that's compressed air not CO2 right?
orhybrid 3 years ago
Yes. Shooting that quickly with CO2 would damage the marker IIRC.

Yes it is compressed air.
