  • I'm playing this on Final Doom for PS1. Man they sure did screw that version up. Funny how both versions came on a CD rom, but the PS1 couldnt fit everything on their discs. So this level on PS1 is pretty different with the enemies, but everything else seems intact. I never woulda figured that;s how you get the yellow key. I kept trying this level and couldnt figure it out.

  • @TheWaynelds Yeah, my biggest gripe about PS Final Doom is that it's basically a sequel to PS Doom, which had nearly twice as many levels on the disc.

As far as Vesperas, I played the PC version first, which has an even less obvious pathway to the key... so I feel your pain there. Took me quite some time. :)

  • @ClassicDOOM I dont understand how PS1 final doom got so screwed up. Both PC and PS1 games came on a CD rom disc. How was it that the PC could fit everything on 1 disc, but the PS1 couldnt? Even Doom64 managed to fit a decent version of doom on a cart. PS1 FD only had Barons of Hell on 1 level (Human BBQ) Mancubus were only on Nesses, and the CyberDemon was only found on Onslought. Williams sure got lazy and screwed up a great game. I want to get FD for PC, but my win7 64bit wont install it.

  • @TheWaynelds You only need the .wad files from Final Doom, and then use a modern third-party Doom engine to run them. Google "ZDoom", "PrBoomPlus" or "Chocolate Doom" for starters. :)

  • Thanks. Had a problem getting the yellow keycard now solved.

  • @freakuac Glad to be of service. Cheers. :)
