The 8g does not have a rechargeable battery. It runs on three AA batteries. The 4g Mino DOES recharge via USB port. You can only film one hour as opposed to two, but who films for one hour much less two anyways?
@t0mom sorry about bursting your bubble, but the flip ultra hd has a tiny bit better quality, the mino is just a bit smaller, and has cool buttons, but otherwise the same
back up, use a tripod and zoom. trust me.

Great great quality. I recently got the FLIP MINO HD, the one above the Ultra, so I can't imagine the quality of it! Nice skills aswell btw.
