  • How it's made...

  • i just want one :(

  • Bulletproof eh......

  • @Gunshy13 No, it's propaganda :) I shot german helmet with TT pistol, mauser and mosin - every amo makes at least one hole.

  • @Buypainted Clearly

  • @potnck well thanks for replying. It was helpful

  • A surplus store about a hour drive where i live is selling a helmet(no eagle) like it for $180. It does have some kind of padding in it and i'm guessing the true Nazi helmets were solid metal. Is this right? How can i tell if it's real or at least priced right? Please respond and thank you

  • @NaziZombieKiller1991 It should be $130-$150 for a replica, and if the one he is selling is fake, you kinda getting ripped off, but if there real, and original, then I'm pretty sure that's a pretty fair deal. but I don't know how to tell if there fake or not.

  • that is the helmet the usa copied with a high tech programm of 20 years

  • @Janphilipp100 true... true... but be aware... they claim THEY based it on a baseball helmet.

  • I hate the entirety of Nazi ideology and their opinion on Jews and other minorities. But I love their uniforms and their helmets. They were snappy dressers and their helmets have good ear/neck protection when you compare it with Russian, British and American helmets.

  • @Scharfschutzen1 Really.....is that the best you can do? Amerika Uber Alles....you fucking traitor.

  • @Scharfschutzen1 That's funny, as you were the first one to bring up dicks and "shlongs". It shows your intelligence, or lack of, for talking about dicks and shlongs instead of conversing properly. You are trash and a disgrace to our white race you claim to brag about. You blame and resent other people for your multiple failures in life. You are the bottom of humanity. You cannot even spell "Scharfschutzen" correctly....you German-wanna-be. Again...did you even finish high school?

  • @Scharfschutzen1 I seriously doubt that you have any friends, so go play with your shlong....LOL.

  • Both the german helmet and uniform is legendary.

  • I think if it was possible to travel in time, the factory would be empty ! :-)

  • the stalhelm m42 is my favorite

  • @Scharfschutzen1 If i didn't know how stupid you are; I would actually think that is funny. I know lots of Jews and they are just like any other white person. You wouldn't even know a Jew if you bumped into one. 12,000 German Jews dies fighting for the Kaiser in WW1...2,000 of them from Berlin. The German officer who gave Hitler his Iron Cross was a Jew. And all because Hitler didn't get accepted into art school; millions of innocent people had to suffer for it. You are a sociopath like he was.

  • @M35kriegsmarine germany was once a very proud good country

  • @cber8860 Yes; I know. But so was once England, France, Japan, Rome, etc. Things change as time passes. WW2/2WK changed a lot of things.

  • @Scharfschutzen1 I am white. My ancestors are from Germany. This does not mean that I have to hate Jews, who are also white. That was the biggest mistake of the Nazis. Every German WW2 vet that i have spoken with tells me that. My parents didn't teach me to me a bigot. And you are the one without manners. Anyhow, I'll ask again...have yoiu ever served in the military? Did you finish high school? Have you been arrested? If you love Germany so much; go live there. But they won't take you.

  • @Scharfschutzen1 Hey, Scharfscheisser...I am not an authority on anything, but you certainly are not. And now you are going to tell me about all your imaginary relatives in the Waffen-SS? You can't even spell in English, let alone German. You are just street trash and a disgrace to every decent white person. All the Nazis did was murder their own people...real fucking patriotic of them. At least I served in the military...you probably never even finished high school. You are a traitor and liar.

  • @Scharfschutzen1 I would tell you tht you re brainwashed, but you don't have a brain. You are just a wanna-be, who isn't even German....just some stupid skin-head trying to rewrite history. I know of your fucked up books. I love Germany, but the Nazis needed to be stopped. Anyone with any common sense knows this. Are you American? If so, you are a traitor to your own country with all your bullshit "Sieg Heil"s and "Deutschland Uber Alles" crap. Germany was destroyed because it lost the war..duh!

  • @Scharfschutzen1 This isn't a Nazi forum; it's a German military forum. Push your sick ideals somewhere else. My "hatred of anything pro German is evident"? Where do you see anywhere that I have said anything anti-German? Nowhere! Even my YouTube name is a German helmet, but you're too stupid to realize that. I love Germany, but hate the Nazis...who ruined Germany. They did not invent the the beer, etc. that you mention. I have no "pages missing"...you're trying to add ones that don't exist.

  • i hate when someone comment anything that has nothing to do with German Helmet

  • @auvar100 Me too.

  • @Scharfschutzen1 It seems that everyone knows a little more than you do. There were many flaws in the M-35, M-40, and M-42 helmets. The Germans realized this and were already working on a new model in 1945...which East Germany eventually adopted. It only took 85% of the steel that the M-35 design took, required less stamping processes, and allowed the wearer to lay in a prone position without a backpack pushing the helmet over his eyes. The M-35 also had too many flat surfaces.

  • @Scharfschutzen1 There always has to be some idiot who makes a stupid comment like this on a German military forum. There was no Zionist control of anything back then. And Communism actually was invented in Germany by Karl Marx. Anyhow, what does your misguided hatred have to do with the production of German helmets?

  • These are actually M-40 steel helmets being made for the Luftwaffe....note Luftwaffe decals being applied. The M-40 was a slight war-time modification of the recent M-35 design. There were five different manufacturers of German steel helmets (both military and civil defense models) during WW2. Together they produced about 25,000,000 helmets.

  • super i want one

  • @Scharfschutzen1 Well by this point they aren't really the "Allies" of WWII, are they...

  • @Scharfschutzen1

The stahlhelm was not stolen by the Allies. The U.S. used a completely different design, as well as the Brits and the Soviets. In fact, the stahlhelm has been around since late 1915, which was shortly after the French had started issuing their Adrians. If the Allies would have stolen the German design, then they would not have used the M1, the British series of helmets, and the Soviet series up helmets until long after the war had ended.

  • @Scharfschutzen1 Actually, I messed up with my question. Could you explain to me how the Allies stole it?

  • @Scharfschutzen1 Could you explain how the Germans stole this design?

  • @Scharfschutzen1 lol... It wasn't stolen by the Allies whatsoever.

  • Very interesting...

How much cleverness to produce an helmet which is the most famous simbol of a powerfull army...

  • Im a german and I own an origanally M42 stahlhelm :D

  • The stalhelm m35 is my favourite stalhelm.

  • And at 0:37, the British Issue Helmet is completed and ready to ship. :V

  • @loribit85 HAHA, my first thought :-)

  • круто!

  • I'm not a nazi, but actually... i think that the german WWII uniforms was cooler than the american... specialy the helmet! xD Just sayin'

  • @Dankieo noone thinks that youre a nazi because of this. only dumbasses.

  • @Dankieo I second that! :D

I'm french and i don't know why i love the nazis because of theirs uniforms/helmets are... beautiful... but i hate how they murdered the jews... xP

  • @Dankieo I completely agree.

  • @Dankieo No shit cuz the German uniforms were made by the famous HUGO BOSS.

  • @DragonOfQin LOL

  • @Dankieo me too, I have a real german helmet at home from the battle of the bulge

  • @nance2uable Nice! I got an American helmet from the legendary: Omaha Beach! It's from the Royal Navy (British Marines) but it's in poor condition... I hope i'm getting a German one soon ;)

  • @Dankieo choose the german m42 helmet! pretty cheap (i buyed him for 30,00 euro's)

but i wanna find a helmet with my metaldetector, that's pretty cool to find :D

  • @nance2uable hahah, yeah c: My grandpa had a M16 helmet, but we don't know where it is now :3 But i think i'm gonna look after the M42, yeah... :D It looks more original and is more "German"... Cx

  • @Dankieo lol great idea

  • @nance2uable Haha, The M35 is also great, i just found one at the internet! I can buy it for 800,- (Norwegian Money). But I really want an M42 Helmet, it looks almost just like the M35, but at the M42 is like twisted up at the sides, and i kinda like that c: (i'm a bit picky) Cx SO i think i'm gonna wait until i find an M42 ;3

  • @Dankieo nice, tell me if ya found one

  • @nance2uable I just found a M42, and i think i'm gonna buy it :D It will cost me 1050,- (Norwegian Money) But i'm gonna buy it anyway, it's not THAT expensive for a real german helmet? :D

  • @Dankieo how much is 1050 norwegian money in dollars or euro's?

if the helmet is nice with the color as he is build in the '40s, is he real from ww2 or a repro?

  • @nance2uable 173,75 dollars. I think it's preeeetty cheap t be a real helmet from WW2, it's not in his best condition, but it is still in pretty good shape... :D

  • @Dankieo nice, an m42 helmet is a cheap helmet (i think)

  • @nance2uable ;)

  • @Dankieo and did you buyed a helmet?

  • @nance2uable I did! It's in better condition than i thought! Thanks for that u recommended the M42 Helmet! love it :D

  • @Dankieo nice to hear :)

  • M1 is still nicer looking

  • awesome, thank you!!

  • Awesome.

But that bullet test gotta be propaganda, could a helmet really stand a riflebullet back then?

  • @ChickenFriedFabrizio No way, it's not kevlar like they use nowadays ; )

  • @JelleVD Even today's helmets are perfured. See other videos, about this fact, here in youtube.

  • A rifle bullet will penetrate the helmet. Nice try Goebbels.

  • @mkf0528

Helmets were testet by shooting a rifle round with reduced charge to simulate a hit taken from some distance.

  • @mkf0528 No shit Sherlock. you think any steel helmet would stop rifle rounds?

Fuck, early kevlar helmets don't stop direct rifle rounds.

  • @14sJakeB190 I already knew that dumbfuck. I was correcting somebody else who said differently.

  • @mkf0528 Bad save. Your comment doesn't seem to be a response to someone else's comment. It's just directed at Goebbels and I know you're not trying to talk to a dead guy... .... .... right? .... ..... ..... o_O

  • @mkf0528 he was Minister of Propaganda after all...

  • @mkf0528 Helmets weren't meant to protect the wearer from bullets. It was meant to protect the person from debris.

PS: Chinese soldiers under Republic of China wore the famous German helmets :D

  • @mkf0528 any helmet of that era

  • Excellent vid, thanks for putting it up.

  • Where can these be bought

  • i still like the m1 helmet better

  • the germans had the sturmhelm design already before WW1!!!!!

  • 1 guy don´t like nazi-helmets

  • What caliber bullet was fired at it?

Much better than the American version.

  • @14sJakeB190 7.92mm Mauser.

  • My father has one passed on by his grandfather who fpught for the german army

  • @AVallstar4 do you want to sell the helmet?

  • Comment removed

  • People can say whatever they want about the nazis, they had at the very least some bad ass helmets.

  • @2:08 the helmet falls in the right side but at @2:10 the dude picks it up on the left.

I'm 100% sure the bullet went straight through.

  • @993ti - If it was a real full power service cartridge, then yes, the round would have penetrated both sides. However, I've fired many 8mm Mauser rounds, and it seems as if there was a large amount of smoke for only a single shot. Perhaps it was a 'Plate test' cartridge? Plate test cartridges are fired from normal rifles, but have a greatly reduced powder charge to simulate fragments or bullets shot from very long distances (IE: 500 yards), which might not penetrate a helmet!

  • i want one =)

  • @Sparty1234561 ebay

  • Germans invented Darth Vaider.

  • @Citzen92 George Lucas invented Darth Vader, Germans invented high culture.

  • @iZOMBEEZ at 1:03 look like M42

  • @nfinnnn They are M-40's.

  • subtitles please?

  • look ever epic of german hemlet!

  • Great! look even epic for german hemlet!

  • I want one :)

  • 1:06 OMG ¡¡¡

  • i think actually in the video it block rifle bullet is not inpossible , its is able to block because they just place the stalhelm on the table without any restrain so when the bullet contact before it could penetrate the helmet bouch off and didnt take in all impact , but if some one is wearing it , it is already a form of restrain as ofcourse human head cant bounch off like how a empty helmet could .

  • @jiahan22 , the high-velocity rifle bullet has long penetrated both walls of the helmet before it even THINKS of beginning to move off the table. Whether or not a head is inside the helmet is academic. I hope this helps.

  • I have found already 3 of such helmets, all 3 from the ground, in war trenches

  • i have a bulgarian helmet, its the same design as the german stahlhelm, but olive drab colour. the helmet itself is far too small for my head, but i mostly keep it as just a relic.

  • this design is still used in modern american helmets. google to see

  • Its one seriously good-looking helmet, so futuristic and space-age, although those of the Great War had a longer visor and rear-guard. It also offers much more protection than the famously dubbed ''soup-bowls'' of the Anglo-Americans and even those of Ivan! A true icon, it stands as a paragon of German professionalism and a symbol of the Wehrmacht, even today! Nice one Fritz!!!!!

  • This helmet was first produced in 1916. Remains an icon. See star wars moivie, where the villain uses it. I live in Brazil.

  • @daltonagre No; this helmet was first produced in 1935.

  • @M35kriegsmarine See the wikipedia to see that this helmet was first produced in World War I, not in 1935.

  • an now all armies all over the world use this exact same model of helmet even the americans are now using a helmet that can be traced back to the german nazi helmet, simply because it is a good design !

  • @wikingnederland but it was a ww1 design!

  • @BigMek456 You are referring to the M-16 design. The M-35 is a more streamlined model with a different liner. In other words; it was NOT a WW1 design.

  • I found one of these in w w w . helmetsmedals . com

  • helmets?

  • the german helmets are more comfertable than the american ones

  • @magic1wizard and more stylish

  • @magic1wizard and more protective

  • @magic1wizard That's because they came in twelve different sizes, instead of the one-size-fits-all American M-1. The M-1 wasn't a bad design; it just would have been better in several different sizes with a better liner and chinstrap system.

  • They did kill in one of those.! However It has to be admitted they are an astounding icon. and these days extremely desired if all original and in fine condition.

  • i wonder how many soldiers died from testing out what they did at 2:03 lol....

  • 2:05 = Bullshit!!!

they are easily shot through both sides even with PPSh bullet.

Rifle 7.92 bullet would hit 5 such helmets, making 10 holes in a row ))

  • @MaxZZR You are correct. These will not stop rifle bullets. I have a M-40 Politzi that has 3 bullet holes blasted through it, probably 30-06 projectiles. A couple of bullet dents in the front, most probably .45 acp.

  • best nice helmet

  • 2:03 the propaganda starts

  • i will kill for one of those !

  • @Bebyko2008 me 2!

  • they lllllloooooooookkkkkkkk ssssoooo cccccooooooooooooolllllllllll best hemet ever
