  • When I create a JAVA Project in Eclipse, there's only "src" and "JRE System Livrary [JavaSe-1.6]", but no "Reference Library".

  • I cant click "Add External JAR" There is nothing there only up down Top button etc

  • @jallekobber1997 Make sure you right click the PROJECT which I struggled over for a long time too. I was right clicking and editing the properties of the src folder, but you need to make sure you are right clicking and editing the properties of the entire Basic project. Hope this helped :)

  • How do you add external jar? mine is new and it dosen't have it. i can't drag in either

  • You talk very quite

  • Do I need Bukkit Or CRAFTBUKKIT?

  • Oh I got it, the JDK build is not available for mac yet, they are implementing it in the Lion software or something..

  • Fixed the speakers, got an iMac now. So, I'm kind of stuck with downloading the Java JDK from Orcale because there is no 'mac' download. Can I use the Linux download instead? Since they're using the same software.

  • Thank you torrent I am creating a plugin that lets you change the biomes if it wasnt for you i never would of had a clue where to start

  • stuiped slow internt i had to wait 30 min after u sayed download to download it

  • When I export, it says:

JAR Creation failed: See details for additonal information.

Resource is outof sync with the file system:'/Basic/plugin.yml'.

  • I have turned up the volume to the max and you're still talking very low...

  • @Gondorius You must have awful speakers then....

  • @WoopaGaming i have the same problem as gondorius but i think it were 20 euro speakers but its loud enough.

  • @WoopaGaming Haha, no... my max volume up has my ears blasting with my music, I have all volume up as much as possible and I can hear you normally... I don't want normal, I want to MAKE SURE I hear everything correctly.

  • @WoopaGaming noep i had the same

and i got really good speakers

  • @WoopaGaming Does this work for single player? Because, I really want a plugin.

  • @liltrin45 plugins are for craftbukkit, and craftbukkit is for multiplayer

  • @Gondorius He's not loud kinda silent. But perfectly hearable.

  • @Gondorius i turned down the volume to the min and he is still talking very loud

  • all i wanna no is how to add /sethome without buckets

  • Is it possibal to convert a mod to a Bukkit plugin?

  • Is this tutorial still relevant to the recent craftbukkit builds?

  • lol Final Fantasy background

    :D

  • there are no referenced libraries, what should i do?

  • @HecTiCxInTeNsitY1 yea,i know that now, sorry about that...apparently,it's not a really big problem, not sure what it means though...he compiles with the warning, and it's working perfectly! I have the error too,btw...

  • @HecTiCxInTeNsitY1 you need to install the java jdk,and yes,it's a problem!

  • Comment removed

  • is there any32-bit java jdk? that works with bukkit?

if so I cant find it

  • Possible on mac...? using edit rocket so... can some1 dirt me somewhere?

  • Great!

  • thanks alot man. i have been dying to find a tutorial that tells me in detail how to make a plugin.

  • I know Python I'm learning Java next semester only console would that be enough to make mods like Planes

  • @SyrupableSweetMaple Think about somthing..If your using a mod that includes planes in the game , both server and all the clients trying to use it would need the mod installed. So you would need every one to install a seperate client mod that you would have to make as well as a server mod. Or you could try installing the plane mod off minecraft forums into the normal minecraft jar and install the client version on your minecraft.

  • Final Fantasy VII Advent Children

  • Thank you for the tuto, but would you please make a subtitled version ? As this is the only video tuto for bukkit plugins and many minecraft/bukkit users (like me) are not native english-speakers, this would be... well, amazing !

  • What's the difference between craftbukkit and bukkit?

  • @xxNightingalexx

    Bukkit = Mod API

    CraftBukkit = Server Software

You can use the CraftBukkit.jar as it includes the Mod API and more.

    -Samkio

  • @WoopaGaming Thanks for the fast reply!

  • @WoopaGaming

Plz for some reason i dont have referenced liibraries how can i make it have 1?

  • I dont have referenced libraries...

  • @plazmotech Did you do Project -> Properties -> Java Build Path and added External JARs?

  • @MrJaker232 Yup

  • @plazmotech Weird.

  • @plazmotech It only creates refrenced libraries AFTER you add the external jar

  • @plazmotech that's cuz you have any referenced libraries...it will appear once you import craftbukkit! :D

  • @plazmotech This will appear once you have added the external JAR files ;)

  • @plazmotech it appears when you add craftbukkit snapshot =)

  • How come when im try to make a Project it says JPA Project not JAVA?

  • @NBAPwns13 Ey mate!! :) Press on the Project... (a bit down) And then you can chose Java Project :D

  • When i open Eclipse what do i open to get those directories on the left on the video?

  • do you really need bukkit?

  • @Ghost141Pro Well considering we're making one for bukkit, yes!

  • @WoopaGaming so how to i install plugins without bukkit?

  • @Ghost141Pro Well if you're using Canary (new version of hMod) it should be in their server directory. If you want mods for Minecraft its self, then you need to open the Minecraft jar and copy the modded class files over.

  • @WoopaGaming Oh okay, thanks

  • When I access the properties window for Basic.java, the only options I have available in the box on the left side of the window are "Resource" and "Run/Debug Settings"; Neither has a sub-menu. In other words, I can't access "Java Build Path" Since it is non-existent. I can't find help anywhere else as it seems nobody else has the same problem or cares enough to post a solution.

I tried to download different versions of eclipse, with no luck.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • @PlusTaters What OS are you using? Also, did you download the correct version? I know what might be causing this, make sure you are clicking on the main folder of your project. As clicking elsewhere doesn't yeild the same results.

    - Torrent

  • @WoopaGaming I figured out the problem. I'll just post this in case anyone else had the same problem.

I accessed the properties for "Basic.java", rather that the project folder. ("Basic"). The screen scrolled down too fast, leaving me thinking that you right-clicked on "Basic.java" rather that the actual project folder.

Also, I'm currently running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit.

  • @PlusTaters Haha okay, glad you got it fixed :)

  • Hello. When I try to export Eclipse shows me this error:

JAR creation failed. See details for additional information. Resource is out of sync with the file system: '/Basic/plugin.yml'.

I know it is something corrupted or anything, but plugin.yml is in workbench/basic files and it writed correctly. When I look at workbench folder, there are no hided and no normal files. I find the problem.I just writed my workbench folder in capital letters :D

  • @HertanLT On your workspace, right click the white area and click the refresh option. It will solve that issue :)

Whenever you create or update the yml, you need to refresh before exporting!
