  • Amazing how the very law protects the guilty..

  • he did them all! nasty evil monster

  • @pelicanus11 No he didn't, you need to read the book.

  • So Derek Percy is a pychopathic phedofile what a C@nt, I hope I can get a job torturing this piece of shit where is a documentary of this and is there dna evidence, He damaged Australia fufilling his sick desires, So how would you fix those type of people are they just broken what about sterilisation and how for that person, Drugging the water effects everyone in the area.

  • 1:11 ANDERSON COOPER OMFG!!!

  • @jannalli As far as i know hes still alive... but he will never admit. he is a textbook sociopath. His parents said it was as if he went from a regular person to being like he is overnight when he was 12... like a hormone change. These people dont feel, and dont trust. and wont reveal anything about themselves to anybody.

  • @alanwhit- love this short vid. you've done a great job w/ it and the delivery of story. just like the crime vids backed by major networks. bravo love. keep up the good work w/ ur investigations and everything else youve done & dont let us forget those babes. i might not offer much by living in the U.S., but no child & parent no matter the geo-locale should have 2 go thru this. its happening here 2 & all around the world. having 1 of my own, this is frightening. again, BRAVO LOVE, BRAA-VO!! XD

  • Hi Alan, I have read a bit about the crimes of Christopher Wilder in the US since reading your Wanda book. He seems a much better fit than Derek Percy or Bassett. With Percy, it seems that there is quite strong evidence that he killed little Simon Brook in 68. Perhaps this was his first murder and he was practising his evil on a toddler.

  • I wondered if Alan meant Arthur Stanley Brown when he wrote about the prime suspect. It would surely be hard to find evidenc ethat he was in Adelaide at the time though, wouldn't it? I believe that it is likely that the abductor lived in Adelaide, especially if he was also teh abductor in the Adelaide Oval case in 1973. Someone who abducted 3 children from a public place must be very confident of their surroundingsand to get away with these cases.

  • A few years ago the Australian psychic Margaret Dent was in touch with the Grimmer family, went to the scene, and said that she had been snatched by a family who had migrated to Australia, and had lost a child of their own. Cheryl was taken to replace the dead child. According to Margaret, she is still alive.

  • thanks for your update Alan. I am sure all of Aust would like a resolution to the Beaumont case, especially their parents. Good luck with your work.I

  • So now I know where the phrase "A Dingo ate her baby" comes from.

  • The abduction of little Cheryl Grimmer is the forgotten crime in Australian criminal history. As shocking as the Beaumont case, she was snatched from Fairymeadow Beach in NSW from in front of her brothers and mother in 1970. It was almost as if the public turned its back on this crime because it didn't have the stomach to face up to another teagedy. By the way, we have found a prime suspect for the Beaumont Case. The only problem is ... he's been dead for ten years. But we'll keep chipping away

  • @alanwhit The prime suspect for the Beaumont case - Do you mean Arthur Stanley Brown?

  • Hi Alan, you are doing an outstanding public service writing about Percy. Percy may have been responsible for Simon Brook, but I think Christopher Wilder is a closer fit for Wanda.

What about Cheryl Grimmer. 3 months after this abduction a man tried to lure my 3 yr old sister from a toilet at Taren Point. i have often wondered whether the incidents were related.

  • Thanks for your comments conwaygrahame ... this is the plexing thing about Percy. Police I interviewed for my book could find no incident in his childhood to explain his deviances .., it was just that he was 'wired wrong' from the start. He was and remains a sadistic pedaphile who acted on his bizarre fantasy life ... a truly unique monster evern in world terms.

  • Alan, I have just bought and read your book and find it facinating. However, I am interested in what made Derek Percy the person / monster that he became. As far as I know there is no such thing as "the bad seed". Most, if not all of these horrific crimes, similar to Percys were committed by people who were sexualy molested when they were children. I am wondering what Percys relationship was with his mother? ie that of a loving mother or maby lover and mother.

  • Another good book about Derek Percy. Lambs to the Slaughter

  • Don't forget that Australia was built by British convicts... Its amazing it is as orderly as it is contemporarily....

  • @dharmanova Australia was not built by British convicts.Australia was built and settled by many free settlers who chose to come here for a better life .Which they found

Convict labour was involved but only to an extent

    Your comment is extremely insulting

  • this percy guy gives me nightmares

  • even if there not sure they should shoot him just incase

  • @frank509 HAHAHAHA, LMAO

  • I cannot beleive that no trace has ever been found of the beaumont children, they have been missing for over 40 years! Someone must know what happened to them!

  • I think Dereck Percy was not the abductor of the Beaumonts. Besides he was in custody when Joanne Ratcliffe and Kirstie Gordon went missing in 1973 at the Adeliade Oval. Same guy the cops think.

  • The Yvonne Touhey case was indeed a tragic one. Remember, Percy is a coward, that's why he attacked children. Don't give him any more power by being afraid of him ... he'll never be released.

'Searching for the Beaumont Children' is not available overseas ... you may be able to buy it on-line (alibri) or on ebay. Take care everyone

  • i red this book about him, im like half way threw it. but this guy is fuckin sick. he shuld have got hanged.

  • sorry i just made myself look very stupid i mean where could i get the book i cant find it

  • Yvonne was my best friend at school. Not one day goes by that Yvonne isnt in my thoughts.

    Derek Percy is pure evil.

  • Hi Alan,

Yvonne Tuohy was my best mate at school. Not one day goes by that I dont think of her. I will never forgive Derek Percy for taking Yvonne's life.

  • Hi Alan, i would just like to ask is your book 'searching for the beaumonts' available in the uk as cant find it anywhere? thanks

  • I think about the lasting 'legacy' that this horrid specimen, Derek Percy, left with poor Shane Spiller.

Shane had to live his entire life in total fear & paranoia of Percy, & for what he had to witness - poor guy. If not for him, then Percy would not have been captured.

  • Derek Percy needs torturing to get the information out of him - NO it is not barbaric, even if he is not guilty of the unsolved crimes, would be pay back for those he had been convicted of, I say bring back torture for scum

  • I hear that - I'd start off with the leg and arm dislocating - then cut out his stomach and squeeze lemon juice into it (ouch!!) if that won't get any information I don't know what will!

  • @cyrex94 Sign me up :) I'll take care of them >.<

  • Any possibility of posting more? Enjoyed your book by the way. Very detailed and well researched.

  • Yes, you are correct. I discuss this and other inconsistencies and links to other crimes in my book ... I hope you find it interesting

  • Was Derek Percy not a lot younger than the description of the man seen playing with the Beaumont children on the day of their disappearance at Glenelg?
