hey guys I have a bad rust ring and rust in my tub Ive tryed lime away Ive tryed scrubbin bubbles Ive tryed commet I ve tryed almost a whole bottle of bleach Ive tryed another type of clenser nothing works,,I thought about using rustolium but you have to be in a well ventelated area to use that,,what about an SOS PAD or hammer and chisel,,any other I deas,,,ive spent almost about 60 bucks on different products that dont work H-E-L-P-
@jheibertz For light surface rust I use Must For Rust... now called Krud Kutter rust remover, and is available at hardware or home improvement stores in a 32 oz. liquid or gel spray. Spray on and scrub with a fine bristle, toothbrush size wirebrush. Usually takes several treatments to get light rust off.
White vinegar and water. 1 cup water 1/4 cup white vinegar. Run it through as if you were making fresh coffee. Then run 7 cups plain water through the brewing cycle again.
maybe for the coffee pot thing it was obvious that after you swish a deadly chemical through it you would probably need to wash it really well before you use it again?
I don't know, I just used it to de-rust my car's fog lights that have been sitting in rusty water for about two years and it worked great. Just let it sit for a couple hours and sprayed it off. I'm highly impressed.
@yamiyanazz how did the CLR react to the metal that was not rusted? Im thinking of using this on a straight razor restoration project but there are a few light inscriptions on the blade that I don't wanna lose, will this remove the rust and leave the non-rusted metal intact or not?
@evanpilot My understanding is it only removes the oxidized metal (rust) as it didn't do anything to the metal that wasn't rusted. However, I'm not sure how they formed the inscription or how deep it is. My guess is that it would work just fine and leave it intact, but at the same time I would hate to be wrong. You could try using a cotton rag with CLR and wipe the rust off so you don't use too much, just be sure to wear some gloves when you do it. Post back, I'm curious how it works for you :)
Hey I was just wondering Does CLR really work? because I wanted to get rid of these rust stains on my bike and I wanted to know if this cleaner was effective
hey i wanted some for the same reason but i know anothe thing that works it may soung add but try it get a brush or tooth brush get some toothpaste colgate works good and your hose put the paste on the brush brush the rust let it sit for 5 mins then spray it off and wipe it down it worked on my crank arme since the had no paint. and i left it outside overnight just try it msg me back and tell me how it worked for you
It works really well for me. I don't use the spray bottle though, I use the thicker formula. It gets rid of the severe water stains on my car, and the rust off of my "silver". Haha.
i've tried it: That video is a lie! it just dont work!
water works better!

You can clean almost anything with 7 golden products: 1)Javel 2)Mineral Oil 3)Baking soda 4)Alcohol 5)aceton 6)Molasses 7)Water
There are alternatives, but I prefer the "golden 7" :)
For your problem:
Remove Rust from Metal and Panels the Easy Way: Video 2
Or any acid, not to powerful (to not demage your drain):... Coca-Cola, white vinegar, diluted sulfur acide, lime,...
Some soda could work... especialy if you rub it with...
Good luck! ;)
