  • Religious theologies are foolish but atheist are no less self deluted in believing what can not be proven empirically.Facts are based from observation within nature or the lab. Something coming from nothing has never been observed.By using the scientific method one would have to say there is some kind of creator since thats the only thing obsereved.

  • What we see is not evidence of God because no one has seen him make anything. If we see a sculptor make statues and see more statues later, we have reason to believe that a sculptor made them because we've seen it done before. It's the same with beaver's dams, gopher holes, and bee hives. We've seen those animals making those structures. Trees are observed to grow by themselves so we'd think no creator. No one has seen God make anything, so nothing that we see is evidence that God made them.

  • @Chuck1863 Adam saw God make things. Maybe you should check out what he though about it? ;)

  • @Kezazah Well, someone wrote that Adam saw God make things, but author didn't say how he came to know this to be true.

  • @Chuck1863 Why don'tyou believe Adam did it? Adam was very capable of writing down what he say and telling it to his children. Even if Adam didn't write it, al scripture comes from God. God was there, he knows. :)

  • @Kezazah If someone writes something but doesn't explain how he knows it then it might just be a story, not even intended to be taken as truth. Lots of people write lots of things that contradict each other. Those who explain how they know can be checked for credibility. The story of Adam looks like one mythology among many.

  • @Chuck1863 Thats why you need to study it. Get a bible. READ through it. Not flip, scan, page turn or skip, but actually read it. Read it without anyones or even your preconceptions on its credibiblty. Then, research it. See if the places actually exist and if there is evidene of wars and the people described there. Look up if there is secular sources showing Jesus existed.(and there is), Look up evolution OPENLY. See if it is a fact or if there are holes in it. Research how the bible came to be

  • @Chuck1863 I hope that you will honestly seek to find the truth and that you will come to knowledge with it. Ill be praying for you. If you have any questions, send me a private message and ill send you my thoughts or a video that will hopefully clear things up. Keep in mind though, eternity is a long time to be wrong. This is the most important decision you could ever make. Don't just blow it off, i would love nothing more than to meet you in heaven and praise God for eternity and talk with you

  • @Chuck1863 Find out if there are ealry manuscripts that are accurate with today's bibles. Listen to other people's testimonies on why they believe in God and how they became christians. See if there is anything to the spirit world, like demon possession. Go to church for a month or two (one that believes the bible) and see what they really teach. See if there is any evidence behind creation. (creation dot com). Search the history of the people that followed Jesus and why they died for Jesus.

  • @Kezazah I started reading the bible. It looks like mythology and wasn't very interesting. I gave it the same attention that I give to other myths and legends. Why does it matter that real places and events are mentioned in the bible? Lots of fiction is set in real places and mentions real people and events. Is all of Greek mythology true because Greece exists? It looks like people are Christians because they were taught to be Christians. While some people change religions, it appears that...

  • @Chuck1863 ...most stick with their first one. That's what got me out of religion, the realization that I believed solely because I was taught to believe and that that didn't seem to be a very good reason to believe something.

  • @Chuck1863 I was just like you. I was skeptical of why i believed the bible. I had never looked at it, and if it was logical. What i've found and CONTINUE to find is amazing to me. I dont expect you to blindly accept what i or anyone else tells you. In the end, YOU need to figure out the history of it all. However, most people's problem is that they dont want God to be real. They say they do, but they never look. They find one thing that 'contradicts' him and they stop searching.

  • @Chuck1863 Research the prophecies of the bible and see if they came true. But you have to seek with an open heart. Thats most peoples problem, they want God to appear to them in a cloud and say Hi. That's not going to happen. God has given plenty of evidence, you just have to start. Jeremiah 28:13 "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." If you need a starting point, look at the playlist on my channel titled "Evidence for God". If you seek, you will find God.

  • @Chuck1863 You said that you can't know if Adam did it because no one saw it and the author could have made it up. When you get to the end of your research you won't have a problem believing it. God will have so manifested himself to you, that there will be no doubt in your mind. When you begin sudying the bible, and God shows you things, you develop a trust and you have faith. It's something you have to experience and pray for in order to understand it.

  • @Chuck1863 If you do decide to take this challenge and really research it, there are going to be times when you don't know what is the truth or what God is doing. You need to pray about it. If you come across it, pray about it honestly and earnestly. God might not poof down and tell you in your ear but boy does He have some incredible ways of showing me. One of the best feelings in the world is jus admiring nature singing praises to Jesus. There's nothing like it. It sets you free.

  • @Kezazah I can't see wasting a good portion of my life researching something that's only mildly interesting, especially since the probability of failure seems very high. I don't see how I can seek something with all my heart unless I already believed in it.

Where some people see amazing prophecies in the bible, others see a clever matching of old texts to current events. It would be more impressive if it predicted something that's not already known.

I've seen the claimed evidence for God...

  • @Chuck1863 ...many times. I've probably seen them all. None is particularly convincing. I'm told that the universe looks designed, but then the proposed solution is a God who looks like he was designed to have created it. Proofs of God seem to stop when they get to God and never address the problems with that theory.

    Thanks for your efforts, though.

  • @Chuck1863 Have you read the book of revelation? It talks about all the things that are going to come in the future. a ONE World Order. Global currency. Jews rebuilding Temple. Peace Treaty in Israel. More frequent Earthquakes. Microchip implants into the Hand. Jewish Nation getting back together in 1948. By the way, this subject is not mildy interesting. If it's true, it determines where you go for eternity. It has major implications into how you live your life, and what you do with it.

  • @Kezazah Does Revelation really mention microchips or is it just being interpreted as mentioning microchips? If it really mentions them it would be remarkable.

  • @Chuck1863 No it does not say the exact word 'microchip', but since your interested, you should do research on it. It basicaaly says there will be a 'mark of the beast' and it will be IN your hand or forehead. Today we know what this mark is. It is a microchip. There TONS of videos about this, and i encourage you to look inro it. Like bar codes having 6 6 6 in them (the 1st, mid and last line are 6's), RFID chips etc. Ill find some videos and sned you them. Search "Mark of the beast microchip"

  • @Kezazah It looks like the bible is merely being interpreted as being correct. Muslims are doing the same thing with the Qur'an and declaring it to be perfect as well. The quatrains of Nostradamus are also being shown to be prophetic in this way. To people who want to believe, they all look like evidence of supernatural knowledge.

  • @Chuck1863 once again your dismissing the whole religion and research of creation and christianity based upon your preconceptions and assumaptions derived from other religions and lies. If christianity is true, then obviously it is different than islam. However, if you compare islam to christianity ignorantly then you will never know. YOU need to do the research and find out if its true. I wouldnt deal so lightly with you eternity. I wouldnt be lazy and forget about. Its a long time to be wrong.

  • @Kezazah I don't have to read very far into Genesis to know that it's incorrect. We now know much more about prehistory than whoever wrote the story of creation. Spending a lifetime studying and researching the rest isn't going to make it true. When new information shows old ideas to be incorrect it's time to drop the old ideas and move on.

  • @Chuck1863 The book of Genesis is not meant to be an in-depth scientific explanation of how God created universe and the earth, it is simply meant to explain to the ancient Hebrews God's creation of the world in terms understandable to them. Yes, the bible does say that God created the world in 6 days, but it also says that a day with God could be as many as 1000 years(or more) for us. In addition, The hebrew word used for day(yom) can also be translated as "age" or "era".

  • @SakoYo Of course the bible can never be shown to be wrong to believers because it can be reinterpreted as needed to keep it correct.

  • @Chuck1863 Of course, Atheists can never be shown to be wrong because they are the most pseudo-intellectual people in the world :).

  • @SakoYo One thing that could easily show atheism to be wrong would be to come up with a god.

  • @Chuck1863 Also St. Augustine wrote a commentary on Genesis that put worth a view similar to that of old earth creationism before the advent of modern science.

  • @Chuck1863 ....not really. We GUESS much more about prehistory than whoever wrote the story of creation. "Look at this fossilized half-skeleton....CLEARLY this beast left it's young alone to care for themselves, like sea turtles".....
