Thanks! That is actually Mheetu (Scar's son in my fan theories) who discovers Kovu and Kiara when they go away to play together secretly.

@Koraden oh yeah, i forgot about Mheetu :P in my fan theories, Scar's children are Nala, Mheetu, Nuka and Vitani. I can't be bothered with the incest crap, cousins are legally allowed to marry anyway :P

Haha, that does depend on where you live ;) first cousin marriage is illegal in about half of the United States today. But I'm also a fan of Scar as the father of Mheetu, Nuka, and Vitani because that fits my theories. ^^ I don't personally support the Scar-as-Nala's-father trend myself but I can see how other people might. My own reasoning is because of the betrothal in the movies - intelligent lion society should have reason to avoid incest due to negative offspring traits.

0:16 regards one of my personal theories:

The father of Scar, Ahadi, was also the father of Zira. They are half-brother and sister. Unfortunately, neither Scar nor Zira is aware of this. They don't find out about it until after Nuka, their son, has already been conceived.

Therefore Nuka is a result of inbreeding, which could explain both his messed-up appearance and why he was not chosen to be heir. Please note that this is just a theory, though, and in no way official.

@Koraden great theory and I love your artwork, but lions are full of inbreeding, either way you get incest, it's basicly impossible to do a movie about lions without incest... nice theory though :)

@Snivelly1997 I disagree. A society of highly intelligent lions that has a patriarchal lineage system is certainly smart enough to recognize and avoid incest, for the main reason that survival in the wild means being physically fit and therefore it is in the best interests of a single royal line to actively avoid genetic conflict. If the TLK pride actually operated the way lions do in the wild, I would say then yes, there would have to be incest, but since they have this particular setup - no.

Hey I'm a fan on TLKFAA, and I agree with your theories. My favorite is your theory about chumvi being kovu's dad. But I don't like your theory on vitanis parents. I think scar is her dad and her mom is a random lioness.

The Chumvi/Zira pairing is one of my favorite pet theories, I must say. I can understand how you diverge on the Vitani one...I only came around to that myself in the last year or so. It's certainly more of a stretch to have Nala as her mother than Scar as her father, but I think it's interesting from both a psychological and design standpoint. Who knows, maybe in another year or two I'll have changed my mind again! ;)
