I do and so should you! A burnout comp is the ultimate test of a car builder and driver. Driving skills should be tested as much as the car itself and the way we do it down under is a good way of achieving that. Yeah static burnouts have their place and as BananaMazPullingTeam pointed out they dont have the facilities for full blown burnout comps in their area. I just seen soooo many burnouts in America that are static burnouts. A little boring when you are used to comps where the cars move

You call that a burnout competition???? There's no skill in sitting there doing a static burnout. A burnout competition should test the driver's skill as well as the engine power. Here's how we do it in Western Australia: Search FEAR burnout - any of them will show you how to do a real burnout

Almost everyone that was watching at the burnout competition thought that I should have won.........  A late 60's Malibu with a high winding full roller small block beat me, he had bleachers on his tires also, which I did not...you could smell the bleach and it helped him get white smoke sooner.

It is an 2005 LLY, I went through the motor myself. I fabricated twin turbos for it and have a different cam, valve springs, cut and coated factory pistons, carillo rods, billet mains, head studs, and main studs in it...
