  • i have an 325i 1995 with 296000miles still running great

  • Nice! But 300,000km aint shit. T

  • That's not high miles......booo

  • i have a 328i 1996 with 288888 on the dash!!! tire peel all day!!!

  • have a friend with a old school beamer series 5 I think and hes at over 470 000 km and still going strong.

  • ive been to couple garage, they gave me "special oil"

some garage didnt do anything and still charged me me 200 euro.

Little do they know i am starting a garage for the little ppl like me, the can rent a bridge at low budget kost it do it them self, wil do my PR right in there faces, that what you get fucking with a genius.

  • Someone posted on youtube their Ford Festiva hit 500,000 MILES not Km. This is a small, cheap economy car.

  • ya t keep my 528i that a 2000 on the road for more then 120000 it needed a egr brake computer and a traction control computer even though it was only rear wheel drive that was going to cost a grand total of 3000 so i bought a car for 3000 with under 1200000 miles instead of fixing it and sold the piece

  • hmmm and my 318is now has 162000 km and i had think that is more :D

  • I think the days of getting high milage out of cars built today are coming to an end as car makers desperatly start trying to cut costs as the price of materials especialy metals increase we are already starting to see many manufactures move to china for cheap labour, and as aluminium metals etc increase these will also be less likely to be used in car production, its already happened in the motorcycle market and im sure the car market will follow i think quality has peaked...

  • That's nothing , my friends 1984 Honda civic has done 1.4 million km

  • 528i e12 420 000 km et commence a boire de l huile sinon de bon moteur qui sont excellent et increvable

  • My 92 525i has 258,000 miles and still running strong.........

  • @japbike736 yea yours dont have a belt, it has a chain, they will prob never have to be changed.

  • @pater429 its important to have the right oil for the timing chain though, have to be careful of that..

  • just bought 318 with 190k on clock and fuel guage faild but rest is fine so far

  • guys, my e36 1992, 1.8i 643 000km, a still goes very well, 8l/100km

  • @zbordaM You got proof of that cus i think alot of people would like to see that.

  • just passed the 450000 km mark on my 92bmw e34 525i and it still runs with utmost smoothness....like a true legend

  • i have an e21 at 400,000 km ~ 250,000 miles

  • bmw is bmw..!!!

  • MAZEL TOV!

  • Im a new owner of a 1997 318i, are the engines transmissions ok on 90s model.

  • gosh ridiculous! but love it. I know routine maintenance but any driving tips to make it last longer, do you flog it occasionally or baby it all the time, average cruise rpm?

  • my dads mucury topaz has 300,000 miles, runs perect no rust, only problem with the motor was the computer went down $25 repair

  • mine is on 182,000miles, and still going strong :) and my mate has a 352i with over 200,000miles :Dmaybe i'll get a vid on here soon..

  • my old car was a 99 Pontiac Grand am 3.4 v6 and she had 250 000 km on the original engine and tranny i was not the first owner but the guy at the dealersship told me a friend of he was the first owner now i got a Chevy cobalt 06 with 80 000 km i hope this one gonna make atleast 300 000 km

  • @estidecrissdemarde hahhah bullshit the engines were only made to go 100k and the trans's were made to only run 50k

  • @estidecrissdemarde btw your "chevy" isnt a chevy.its a glorified kia.you might wanna do some more research before you buy a "chevy"

  • My parents do have a 1997 BMW 318i with 212.000 km and its running great!

  • Nice ride!

  • i think dodge caravan is the best. i have 2000 dodge caravan with 413000 km and still it runs great. i change transmission at 219000 km. i am the original owner of the van and from beggining i have spend almost $13000 on the maintanence thats includes every thing.

  • What kind of oil u used?

  • My Omega 2.0 16v 1996 had a 450k km... that's not much ; )

  • Mine already did more than 360000, wonder how long will it go before death:D

  • still less than 200,000 miles :) congrat though, plenty of life left in the car

  • This kind of milleage is easily achieved with a Mercedes-Benz Product.

    I had a 300SD with 795000km

    I had a 190D with 395000km

and currently drive an S-Class with over 500000km

Mercedes-Benz is light years ahead when it comes to produce the best cars on the planet.

  • LOL ur an idiot :-) the only reason why a merc is has better profromance is because mercedes put superchargers or turbos on there cars.... a BMW doesnt need that and it still comes close profromance wise... You stick a turbo or supercharger on a bmw and watch a merc go bye byez.

  • well can you at least put a video up so we all know that your not bullshiting

  • if it was 300,000 miles, it would be more impressive

  • If looked after properly ans serviced ect a bmw will piss 300,000miles

  • nice i have the same e36 also from dec 91

with 230000 km. i lightly moddified it and i get 16.7 km from every liter of fuel. and i live in holland now it's below freezingpoint

  • i got a e36 318i 8v and mine gets 33mpg mins done 120,600 miles or 193,120km

  • That's the same car i have. how manny liters per km is that??

  • thats kilimeters not miles

  • my e36 318 with m43 has just done a thousand mile round trip and just clocked 144500 miles without missing a beat and runs fine, however if i stall it it it doesn't want to start unless i give it some throttle anyone have any ideas why?

  • my father's one have 450 000 km on it !

  • 300K is much for a BMW... lol

NOTHING FOR A BENZ, I HAVE PUT MORE THAN 600K ON MY CURRENT BENZ, NO ENGINE WEAR.

  • Who gives a flying fuck about ur BENZ.. as long as a bmw is serivced properly at the right times it will go on for 450,000 miles +

  • My E36 has done 120,000 miles and nothing wrong with it at all! as long as u look after the engine service it when it tells you they will go on for over 400,000 miles......

  • Nice, my 318i m43 engine just passed 320000km, nothing done to the engine yet, just keeps going.

  • I've got a 318i se E36 BMW and its done just topping 135000 miles and can beat the new 318i, it still is better in corners than most of the peoples cars that I know, for example a Seat Cupra 2.0 GT, and a Ford Focus 2.0 TD, these are my uncles and aunts cars. mine is 15 yrs old and can beat them off the line and around corners..........

It's my first car and my baby!!

BMW rulz get used to it!!!!

  • my cars done 60000 k's :D

  • mine just hit 310 000

  • hoping to get my parents one when they get their new car (1993 318i 235.000km).

  • 1995 318i e36 with 190.000 km and its still young:P i put a sport exhaust and run like thunder:)) BMW for ever.

  • Nice one, my mum's '94 325i just passed 144100km yesterday. Not much, but apart from minor problems here and there, the car is still working fine!

  • my e36 318i 153005 km and its brand new!!!!

  • Nice BMW ! :) I have question for all 318i owners. I just past my driving licence test and I want to buy 318i. It's 93 December. How many km this engine it's suspose to handle ? What is fuel consumption of one of those ? ofc M40 engine.

    Cheers

  • they are very nice powerful cars and great on gas

  • M8 mine easily copes at 35 - 40 MPG, and I aint no slow drver...... Also M8 its a BMW so you are thinking at least along the lines of 250,000 MILES, dunno about KM....... Get one trust me you'll never regret it!!

Just watch the insurance and only use insurance just enough to get you on the road!!

  • Dude not sure where ur from but its only insurance group 11 for the 318i.... not to bad... a young driver will get raped but i am 25 and its only costing me around 600 as i got none NCB...

  • what insurance companies do you suggest then?

    I'm from Scotland btw!!

  • I'm with morethan i got no claims bonus and its costing me roughly £600 TPFAF with £50 access....... But remember it all depends where in scotland as i know alot of area's are rough ect and crime..... I also agree with u BMW rules and the 3 series is a great drive :-)

  • Just 300 000kms...hmmmm i juste have more than the double! Keep working on it, it can have more than that i'm sure ;)

  • well I live in Ayr, which I wouldnt really class any area aound Ayr as being rough!

but then again I am from Fife!!

cheers for agreeing, I've just found out that in Logan where my dad stays, the BMW has been abused by passers by and they've burst my radiator and my door lok, fixed the door lock - idiots must've thought they could beat the duoble sheild anti theft system.....hehehe.....the radiator I could fit myself, and I could pick one up for £25 give or take a couple of quid!

  • I wish I had BMW. :( But for now I have a CRX with 287,000 miles on it with original transmission and engine. :D

  • Trust me Ditch the shitty honda and try get a BMW.. A very nice ride:D i also managed to pick mine up for 350 notes lol GBP

  • same milage as my 318ti :P well mine is a little bit less but still milage doesnt realy matter... if you treat the car properly you can make insane milage... my friends 325i e30 has 380,000 km done and its in very good shape :) my friends nissan almera has 100,00 and its falling apart :P

  • 300.000 km and still goes without problmes? thats e36!^^

i have 318i cabrio with 62.000 km now. hope he will also reach his 300.000km sometime.

  • I saw a 2003 Town Car in fleet with 860,000kms a couple weeks ago. It still ran and apparently they were selling it. Maybe I should have bought it? Nah, somethings bound to be wrong with it....right?

  • A BMW will go on forever as long as you look after them mine is a E36 318i 8V 1995 done 116,000 miles.

  • my e36 318i m40 has done 117,000 miles the only problem mine has is a noisey cam follower (due to the oil feed pipe running dry at some stage) apart from that it runs fine still has all its power.

  • fiabilité bmw

  • My 2002 330ci is at 125K miles...

  • Mine did >35000 km :)

  • my car e36 had drived 380.000km and the engine is still perfectly at the moment.. Up to the 400.000 km

    BMW FOR EVER

  • I had an 316i e30... I ignored the hidraulic lifter knock and blew the engine with only 177000km, i had the car since it was new...

Now i have an 318is e30, great car.

  • love that song, eye of the tiger, ya!. gotta love a bm.

  • not bad, but my 92' magna has topped 379,000kms. Runs like a bucket of shit lol.

  • mine is already around 240.000km, an E36 m40 b18 RHD. i feel sorry for your crashed car :(

  • that's not much :) even for m40

  • did I mention that it runs on LPG? Unfortunately I crashed the car at 354.000 km.

  • oh, i feel sorry for you car! Dont crash e36 anymore! Did you have any serious problems with m40?

  • no serious engine problems. Distributor rotor at 240.000km, water pump at 250.000km, spark-plug leads at 310.000km, that's it! Head was never removed and it had it's original dynamo, starter motor etc. No oil or water leaks / losses.

It did receive oil changes every 15.000 km and timing belt every 40.000 km. Take care of these engines and they're bullet proof.

  • @Nichomachus 354.000 ?! fucking hell.... good piece of engineering mate...

  • @Nichomachus

My 318 year 1997 with auto gear box was 348.000km and still in good running condition.

  • thats not bad for a petrol car
