  • 1.42 confirms she she still had it

  • This song made me sob and weep.

  • Love your voice 4ever!

  • Don't worry momma...you will see her in Heaven!!!

  • People are judging her like if they dont have things in their life that they have lost due to sin...Hers may have been a voice..but she never lost her salvation! You might have a "voice" that being...a man, a child, material things, a job...her job was her voice...Sin is fun for a season the bible says...at least she put her hope in The Lord..so even after her voice was gone..she had her salvation...

  • @chrissy4him30 This world is passing away..believe that....This world and everything in it is a shadow of whats to come..dont be fooled...John 3:16 for God so loved the world that He gave his only Son..so that who ever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

  • Her salvation is WAY more important to her mom then her voice. Her mom knows more then anyone..a voice doesn't make you. Her mom is proud of her for singing a song of how she looks to Jesus...We cant change the past but we can look to Jesus and try our best to move forward with the hope that He died for ALL our sins.. I love how she sang to Jesus. Bump what people think I know Jesus was proud of her this day :)

  • @chrissy4him30 Her story she'd be told..of how she was as sinner who sang and battled the same temptations anyone fought! She knows where her hope and strength comes from and that was from The Lord. We all die one day, but if you put you or hope and belief in Jesus, even tho your body dies..your spirit will live on. Look to Jesus...everything else passes away..but He remains.

  • You cant juge her singing from this particular performance, she emotional. Wow people, yes she has lost her voice but this performance was the wrong one to measure by. Im a musian and i know voices and this performance was about what she felt and not delivery. Most times in these youtubes people want the glory of being write which makes them make others look bad. The moral or the perfomance is, her mom stayed with her through it all, can youll register that?

  • 1:42 , good Whitney , she hit that high note after all these drugs, and cigarettes, that girl soared !

  • "God is a concept by which we measure our pain" - John Lennon

    RIP Whitney

  • She had to have been baked herr. Ive seen other performances of this song that were MUCH better than this one.

  • yep

  • @pastorob70....I respect your office of a pastor as I do my own. Nothing stands but the truth and although it must be said there is a time and place and way I'm which we speak. This certainly is not the greatest time to appear so judgmental...there is a great responsibility on your part in a sensitive time like this to draw the people in not turn them away with judgement wrapped up in scripture. Be Blessed! .

  • @Destined4greatness83 You handled that pastor with intelligence and grace. When I read your words I smiled. So many use religion and the bible to judge others. But God knows we are ALL imperfect and all fall short of the glory. But guess what, he forgives when other don't. Thank you for your comment.

  • How do I know where here "Spiritual Life is?" Take a look at her life. She lived a life of constant drug use, partying and the exact opposite of what someone who truly know the Lord should live like. Just because someone sings a song about Jesus and claims to be a Christian, does not make them a true follower of the Lord. It is a demonstration of that faith by walking with the Lord over the course of your life, that makes you a true believer. Jesus said not all who call Him "Lord shall enter...

  • @pastorob70 I dont believe that is true..Look at her path..All she knew was show biz...I can totally see Jesus in her. She even talked in her Oprah interview how she would read her Word and the Holy Spirit would teach her and guide her. We all have sin..hers was drugs and alcohol..she fought her fight..but God has her soul...She even said many times..Jesus saved her. She was covered in the Blood..She just didnt sanctify herself..in the Word enough..she needed to be washed more..

  • It never matters The DRUGS could never blanket what Whitney Houston's Impact was on me and most people I know. She had a raspy voice already she is Horse. She could still out sing any of us. Bow down to a Diva that's greater than you.

  • One word...Cigarettes.

  • i think she was sick because in the beginning she said im going to try and do this....i also think she was trying not to cry during the song and or was crying...all of those things will alter your voice no matter how good you sound naturally...rip whitney i love you baby girl and miss you so much already!! i wish you and michael could come back to us!!

  • @lilmomma1119 A pure singing critique, she was outta shape, and smoking...now on her worst day she sounds like a classical harp compared to me but she was just not in physical shape to perform here, so sad about her life her personal life that is after all in the end all the "wealth" we have is of no help when we draw our last breath.

  • @ElZappata lol i agree.she said in her interview with oprah that in these years she was not even thinking about her singing days and just wanted to live for herself.she said she already did it all.there was nothing else to be done...its a shame she felt that way and a shame that she got wrapped in drugs because she could have reached a whole new world if she would have kept going with her career.she was an amazing person with an amazing heart soul and voice.i wish someone could have woke her up

  • Her voice is definitely stained and stressed..pitch was off and its much more tough then her smooth tone she once had. Definitly one of the best voices I grew up with. Now she's singing for the lord. RIP

  • Her voice still sounded good, but it has gotten way too deep. Much deeper from when she first came into the spotlight. May she rest in peace.

  • How sad when a beautiful woman who once loved Jesus so much, is captured by the world and taken hostage by her own sins. If Whitney had only turned to the Lord with all of her heart and repented of the life she had chosen that destroyed her beautiful voice and fervent love for God, He surely would have forgiven her and cleansed her of all her sins and perhaps even restored her amazing voice. I hope and pray that you are with the Lord now Whitney. God's Grace and Mercy is Greater than our sin....

  • @pastorob70 that is so judgemental. How do you know where her spiritual life is? 2 nights before she died, she was on stage, singing, "Yes, Jesus Loves Me"

  • Her voice sounds wonderful.

  • I feel for her family. May she rest in peace. BUT because you have a shitty guy doesnt give you an excuse to use drugs. You have to live for your child if nothing else. Im talking from experience here. You must survive for those who need you not those who try to take you down. She was a legend.

  • There are so many comments judging her voice rather than the pain behind her downfall, even after her death. Yes, she was a 5 octave singer that wowed crowds won award after award and so on, but she is, as we all are, human. And that is what she is asking for here in this song and from, hopefully fans who, just maybe, have had rough times themselves.

  • Oh my eye now as I cry this world lies and beauty dies sad sad sad it makes me mad Peace's price, another life Business rubs, too' smooth, hands together Money Lies, another dies... Humanity cries... We all lose again.
  • A tragedy, a cautionary tale of what happens when you allow yourself to fall under the spell of a shitty guy

  • @eholleya why blame her when he committed the crime. Who knows what her background is and the reasons why she chose to stay for so long but he chose to use her as a punching bag, that's the crime.

  • I'm shocked to hear of her death. Shocked, but not exactly...all that surprised, if that makes sense. This is just such a senseless loss, and she had so much more left in her, regardless of whether or not her voice was what it used to be. After the death of Michael Jackson, we really didn't need to lose another icon, but here we are. All the money, fame, and talent in the world can't always bring happiness. I just pray we don't lose anymore of our precious icons before their time. R.I.P. Whitney

  • No, this performance would be okay for a karaoke singer, but for Whitney Houston, this performance was absolutely horrendous. Anyone who says it wasn't bad doesn't remember or hasn't heard how she sang in the 90's, when you didn't need to wait for her to hit a high note to sound awesome. She clearly was struggling in this video. Her death was a tragedy, but it's so much more tragic if today's generation remembers her like this.

  • I will always love you. RIP Whitney!

  • There's another kind of richness in her tone here. A depth that was missing in her "perfect" voice when she was younger. It's not better or worse, different. Remember the change in Marianne Faithful's voice from when when she was young to now, many cigarettes later? She's better than ever. It's part of age and the ravages of life on a singer's voice. But the soul and phrasing remain.

  • @scag15 Huh? She is speaking instead of singing at times, having trouble hitting notes and even squeaking at points. She had an awesome voice back in the day (though I could never get past her choice of material.) Marianne Faithful is a poor comparison -- she is in CONTROL and using her voice expressively.

Whitney is just struggling here. What a shame.

  • I feel bad for her. She definitely doesn't have the singing capacity that she used to. I wonder what happened to her voice?!

  • @Belloran24 Reefer, crack and Bobby Brown. Hope that helps explain.

  • It didn't sound too bad until she failed to hit the high note. Then it became obvious she no longer has that great power in her voice. Watching this makes me miss her music.

  • Her voice will never die. Like many others unfortunately, she teaches us how we can and must found in ourselves all the best to face every single difficult in our life

  • Rip beautiful.

  • She probably took sleeping pills and then drowned lying in a bathtub . I've just seen that movie "the bodyguard" a few weeks ago on TV and that's how most people will remember her where i live

  • Fly with the angels, beautiful Whitney. We'll miss you.

  • Her voice here is fine.

  • Her voice died a long long time ago.

  • just heard the news..... DAM DAM DAM DAM. it's not fair.

  • RIP :/

  • oh whitney...

    *shakes head*

You will be missed, sry for ur struggle girlie...hopefully you're in a more magnificent place, where your voice is what it once was, and not even the angels voices could compare.

    R.I.P.

  • It's like watching a train wreck.

  • Only now will your videos have more than 10,000 views.

  • Sounds a little auto tuned

  • This is so sad....

  • I can't believe it! Is she really dead?

  • Heart broken!

  • she died RIP Whitney Houston!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • R.I.P. my baby whitney

  • Wow, rest in peace houston

  • rip

  • Her mom is crying but it doesn't seem like it's out of happiness but more out of sadness upon hearing how much voice Whitney has lost. I mean this is her Mom and she "knows" what her daughter's voice should sound like. I hope you could recover your voice Whitney. God bless.

  • @beachandsunandsand she died..

  • @sanshoryu The day she died for whatever reason I was looking at her videos on youtube and when I got to her official video of "I'll Always Love You" I started noticing there were RIP messages and I'm like what?? So I went on CNN and found the sad news. So that's why my posts are what they are. :)

  • That will never happen. She has passed away.

  • @beachandsunandsand i disagree. I think she is crying because she cares so much about her.

  • Why does it sound auto-tuned?

  • @jjoeshaw it was autotuned!

  • "Better than ever"? Hardly...

  • For every Whitney Houston fan! This performance was not perfect, or the best, it was simply letting u know that she has overcome and she is back

  • For everyone who knows her drama, this performance is breathtaking.

  • 3:09 "Help me out, y'all." (Because I can't sing.)

3:16 "When melodies are gone..." (They clearly are.)

  • Ouch.

  • She has a Great voice now, Its just not Extrodinary like before... This is such a great peformance... Just she was horse.... I Love you 4ever and always Charles Ryan Thornton..

  • @ILoveMcWhMj4ever not extraordinary....WHATEVER

  • Now a days her voice sounds more like Tina Turner O_o

  • Whitney, you still have it,stay strong and keep the faith!!

  • I Always Tear Up Watching This Performance. Vocally She Wasn't The Best But I Love How Her Emotions Poured Out.

  • I love Whitney. My heart breaks for what she has gone through. But there is so much truth in the adage "When you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas". And if Whitney hadn't made the terrible mistake of associating herself with that low life NIGGER Bobby Brown, she would still have that angels voice she used to have. My heart breaks for her mother as well, who had to watch her baby being destroyed little by little by that piece of dog shit.

  • what a shame- such a waste of good talent. I guess you had too much of the "good stuff" since , as you said in your own words, "crack is whack." God gave you a blessing and you threw it away. Now you need to face the truth and stop living a lie- "To thine own self be true. Thou canst not be false to any other man." (quoted by Shakespeare)

  • This is a rather boring song. Doesn't show off Whitney's range at all.

  • @litenslick That's because her range is gone.

  • Another example of what drugs make you look like.......pathetic and pityful.

  • @gyqz Your a Judgmental Ass Hole. It' OK Whitney. Your REAL fans still LOVE and Support You!

  • @greatbydesign33 It's ok Whitney....Your real fans understand you, because they're druggies too!!!

  • @gyqz The only Druggie is your Mother for getting high on whatever that night and conceiving trash like you.

  • @greatbydesign33 This is why they shouldn't allow internet access at rehab!! You should focus on your 12 step program and see that you are the problem! I wish you luck and above all hapiness.......

  • @gyqz Wow - that was so funny. Save your Luck wish for yourself. You will need it.

  • @greatbydesign33 I don't need to save my luck, being myself! I don't hate you...I just wish you will get better! (That time of caring about eachother is coming this weekend after all). Power to you!

  • @gyqz imma whitney fan and i understand her and def not a druggie, however...im happy ur perfect u prob have kids on dope terrorizing ur life and thats how u can judge others. dont worry friend God still loves u

  • @savannahlaliberte I have no kids...they were all taken away from me, because I responded on Whitney Houston video!

  • I am not sure this is such a great song, is it? It's just the same thing over and over and over.

  • Im Not A Whitney Fan At All But Towards The End When She Started Singing To Her Mom Man I Was In Tears And Didn't Even Know It. Her Vocals Were Not All That Great But Her Stage Presence Was Undeniable! Very Emotional Performance And I Loved It.

  • Did they somehow auto tune her voice??

  • @Sabrina123456987 Absolutely yes!

  • @Sabrina123456987 That's what I heard!

  • ouch. this is sad, scary, and embarrassing. But most of all it's real -- stay far away from the pipe, people.

  • Her mother must be proud of her. I'm sure Whitney appreciates her mother's love and all the more so having come this far. Good to see her performing again.

    Stay strong, Whitney!

  • @CaledoniaJeanne they edited the peformances because the real footage was unusable.

  • @MrIloveall - Well, that's a heart breaker if they had to piece it together. Perhaps she'll get better and really show them! One can hope. I'm rooting for her. I think she'll make it.

    : )

  • She didn't do too bad at the beginning, but mid way through her voice cracked a couple of times. By the end when she was trying to sing higher she couldn't do it. It is sad that it is this way. She is hit and miss nowadays. She does well sometimes and not so well other times.

  • You go Whitney!!! I still love you. This song is so beautiful. God Bless you.

  • So beautiful, I love this song so much.

I've listen every day to your album. I look to you is so good.

It doesn't matter that she has problems with her voice. Good luck
