I think if I was Henry's boss I would be delivering his P45 rectally if he turned up late with my car and wife, grinning like its 1952. Wouldn't you agree?
This is a 1993 advert actually the first one - which was dropped a year on when Citroen made a few changes to the car - then I think the slogan was - 'The car to eclipse all others'
@lukerobin01 Im surprised to here you say that tbh, my parents have a xantia and it isnt quite as smooth and comfy as my girlfriends Rover. Dont get me wrong im not slaggin the Xantia off - it is still a very comfy car, and is very quiet I think compared to all its rival cars of the time, but I think the 400 series Rover is slighly softer/comfyer over bumps etc. I found getting into the 400 after the Xantia was a bit more relaxing kinda thing. Anyway.....both good cars.
@ash7990 Yeah, most probably just a matter of preference. Rover's and Jags are known for their comfort anyway. I'd be more than happy with their ride. Let's just be glad it's not a Mercedes A-Class, now that, although not a bad car, was very uncomfortable.
"Somethin' Stupid" is a song originally written by C. Carson Parks and released by Carson and Gaile. It was more famously released in 1967 by Frank Sinatra and his daughter, Nancy Sinatra.

It does make you wonder what this advert. is trying to say?
"Buy a Xantia and have men run off with your wife as well as your car!"
or
"Buy a Xantia and have the wife flirting with your minions!"
An amusing advert. though!

@lukerobin01 Hmmmm, Rover 400, 800 and 75? 1990's Jaguar XJ6? All more comfortable than the xantia.

@ash7990 Sat in the 400 and 75. Had a XJ6 and XJ8. The Xantia was the most comfortable imo. Even better than the A8.
