Great to see you back ATK. Am I the only one that noticed that the Oshkosh has a wing plow on it. Thats New. Maybe this next storm I will head down to your staging area and get some pics of those plow rigs. If not look for the person in a bright green jacket on the Rte 117 Overpass next storm. @matredsoxfan Thank You. Yeah he just put a wing plow on the Oshkosh for this season. I'll keep an eye out for ya and if you find the time, come down to Rt.30 and I'd be happy to show you the truck. Tommy did an excellent job with shots he was able to get. It all came together really nice!

@Condog99100 - mr7badass is totally correct. Look at my truck in the video, ( the blue freightliner), you can see that i have a 275 gallon oil tank filled with cement. It has a kin pin on the bottom side of it attached to the fifth wheel. If i didn't have that weight, then trying to push full blades of snow would be impossible. We estimate that the oil tank weighs roughly about 6,000 pounds!!!

This has been a odd and mild winter but it is good to see the ol rig back in action.You could us a flatbed or the fenders you mentioned.That truck has come a long way since it was a cement mixer and I like the train horns you two have.

@delmontcrusier It has def been a slow start to the season but I am optomistic that we will have some big storms headed our way. I have put a lot of wrench time and money into this rig to get it to its current state (never ending haha). Train horns rock!!!

now i live down a main street and i see a truck like your with bricks on the back fallowing the town plow so i always wonder whats with the bricks on the fifth wheel?

@condog99100 If the truck is used for plowing snow the bricks (or anything very heavy) is used to get more traction. A bobtail truck is very light on the ass and any additional weight is needed to get desired traction. A dump truck is ideal because you can load the box with sand for weight and possibly sanding/salting. But you are limited also because a dump truck is just a dump truck but a truck tractor is more versitile just takes some inginuity to get the weight needed.

For about a month and a half we were hauling out to that big housing project behind the gmc/ subaru dealer in acton. We are still going there but its on and off. Nice! for fenders- on the plowing forum I am on a few guys started using plastic window well covers you can get at homedpot/lowes they paint them black then make a mount for them. These were on 1ton and 550 trucks but You might be able to make them for yours they are a much cheaper method and work good from what I hear
