  • Marriage was never in danger, the pro-gay marriage camp just wanted in on what is automatic to straight people (for no reason besides dogma, I might add).

  • Wow, and you wonder why Christian conservatives are seen as violent bigots?

  • U did good doll, I am proud of you!

  • Maine being bigoted is NOT something to celebrate.

  • Glad You LOST...LOSER! God Punished You! Now go get a REAL Job......Probably something in the NOM organization? You look like the perfect speciman to kiss Maggie Gallagher's BIG FAT ASS, and you make a Great Kneeler for Bishop Malone...say ahhhhhhhhh

  • You seem full of hate. Is something troubling you?

  • Wow, someone who hates gay rights, is accusing an opponent of being hateful.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Jarody. No wonder you lost.

  • "Gay rights" is a politically correct term that has little actual meaning. Right now the average gay man has the same rights as I do. I can marry a woman. So can he.

  • i am confused here, tell me gay marriage is still not allowed? shame you lost.

  • Gay marriage was passed by the legislature but reject when put to a vote of the people.

  • Should interracial marriage have been put to a vote of the people?

  • *sigh*

That question is without merit as this video is not about a hypothetical question 60 years ago.

  • I insist you answer this particular hypothetical. I'll explain how it's relevant - though I think you know or you wouldn't have dodged the question.

  • You're attempting to associate being born black with the choice of homosexuality. I'll have none of that bs on my page.

  • At that point in history a majority of Americans did not feel that interracial couples qualified as married by their definition of marriage at the time. This is the same situation as today. What we didn't do then was put it to a vote.

  • What's really BS is that you think being gay is a choice.

Have you ever TALKED to a homosexual?

Have you ever wondered why anyone would CHOOSE to live a lifestyle that is vilified and persecuted by bigots like you, for no good reason whatsoever?

    Honestly, you're an idiot.

  • So you think it's totally fine to overturn human rights by a popular vote? What else do you want to contest from the legitimately elected representatives of the people, hm?

  • I helped returned marriage to its original definition. Between one man and one woman. This was never a rights issue. I constantly question what our elected officials do. I view intelligently questioning authority as a duty.

  • Original definition?

Don't make me laugh -- originally marriage was FORCED and a business deal only. Read a history book.

"Traditional" marriage as we know it is already a revision, so getting rid of unjust discrimination within it makes total sense to me.

  • Original definition in Maine. This is a state issue.

If you want to talk about discrimination how's this for a start: I'm a single man who is punished by the tax code (state and federally) for being single. I feel totally discriminated against because I haven't entered into a state ordained contract with someone of the opposite sex yet. What do I do?

  • Jarody! its V's Daughter...im sorry you didnt win :( good luck next time!me and mom support you all the way!

  • How could I forget the daughter of V?

Thank you,and thanks to V as well.

  • :)

im not as kool as my mom :)

but we did support you and we thought you were a MUCH better pick than the other guy :)

    dont give up hope ok????

    i lovers you J!!!! <3

  • A shame, bro.

Hey, there's always next time; if I move up to maine, you've got my vote.

  • Cool,thanks

  • This is a good thing - people that can't think right need to be left out of office.

Come to Canada and see how equality works by the way.

  • That sound judgmental and intolerant.

  • Yep - intolerant to anyone who holds back equality. As it should be.

  • I'm sorry,but I don't like conversing with the intolerant.

  • wtf do you know about equality fatso? i almost forgot your a queer yourself.

  • lolololol this coming from a man who tried to kill himself last year.

    coward.

  • The idea of this kind of bigotry finding its way into any kind of elected office is frightening.

  • The man I lost the election to signed the petition to put question. That is another good thing I forgot to say about him.

  • i'm glad you lost you fucking bigot!

  • I don't know if you can say Mainers have consistently rejected homosexual marriage, as it was nearly an even split.

However they did reject it. Which is unfortunate because the sky hasn't fallen here in Canada from allowing it.

  • I hope you're proud of yourself, you selfish, ignorant piece of shit

  • Yeah. Yeah I am proud of myself.
