@MorningDitties It was a reasonable question that @Themusicanddrama asked, no need to accuse them of having no harmonic appreciation! It's a grating sound, classically the reverse of 'beautiful'.

@banterflaws Thank you, seeing as I am predominantly a jazz musician (even though they weren't to know) I felt that was quite harsh to be accused so suddenly. Oh well, as I replied to them- it's just another artist's interpretation. I wouldn't have put that harmony in this particular piece, but nonetheless in other pieces it would have been an inspiring harmony!

@TheMusicanddrama Dim (Maj9) resolving to a Maj7(9). It's like playing a dom7b9 with the b9 as the root up to a major7 a semitone up. If you can't hear why that's beautiful you need to improve your appreciation of harmony..

This is quite a harsh comment seeing as you aren't aware of my musical background. Being a jazz musician I have a solid appreciation and love for harmony. It just felt (to me) that with the mood of the piece, it didn't quite fit. Being the only phrase like that in the piece (excuse my non-terminological language), made it feel that it was by accident as there weren't other sections that included such a dissonant harmony. I am a huge fan, it's just another artists interpretation
