  • The Valley of Dry Bones. Got goosebumps the first time I heard it.

  • My favorite was feeding of the five thousand. :)

A little faith makes a great difference.

  • "We become cowardly and we call it responsible." - That is truth right there!

  • Elijah had those other prophets murdered, even after proving his God was superior... that never sat right with me. Why didn't he just convert them? What am I supposed to take away from that story? I don't want to kill my non-Christian friends.

  • @MobiusCoin You can't just convert people, they have to willingly accept God's sovereignty. In the case of the priests of Ba'al I would give God the benefit of the doubt that these priests weren't going to give up the orgies and child sacrifices that were part of Ba'al worship. If you believe in God's omniscience sometimes you have to accept His will even when you don't understand it.

  • @MrStevekehl Not sometimes but all the time! Good point but I would add no one comes of His/Her own free will but by the Father's voice/will! So that no man can boast of his own works/decisions! Omniscience in the Father would mean that we have to accept that His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways! His is higher as the Heavens are Higher than the Earth! We tend to forget that too often though. I always tell Christians, "Your opinion does not matter to God!"

  • @MobiusCoin I understand where you are coming from but we do not have the mind of God so we will not comprehend what he does or commands. I don't think your non-christian friends are worshiping the Lord (Ba'al) like these priests and there were other more terrible things that committed. I know its hard but remember blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is not a forgivable sin! We all have a lot to learn on this Earthly journey! Just wait until the church starts to truly turn back to His NAME

  • Thank you for reminding us that 'indeed' we are not an island unto ourselves, but inddeed we are here to encourage one another because HE first loved us. Not one of us who have become Sons/Daughers of the Lord Jesus/God can deny our power to glorify His Holy Name by our own lives; worship Him by your life!

  • It's really discouraging when you have a passionate desire to see others your age ( over 40) get excited about Jesus and you look at your church only to find lackluster enthusiasm. I almost feel like I'm looked at like the bearded lady at the fair when I'm leading worship. I appreciate Francis' words of EN-COURAGE-MENT.

  • @Rom1211Life AMEN! I look at alot of churches and people are there for show with no heart no love and no enthusiasm but im not 40 years old. I would love to see more passionate people espesially older people at my church mabye you can stop by. GOD BLESS!!!!

  • @Rom1211Life Amen brother/sister! But we have to remember what times we are living in! The word church is just a word and being in one does not guarantee you are surrounded by believers! Most people go just because that's all they've known; and others just because it is unpopular to be atheist or other things in this country. The Messiah was never looking to create a fad! But isn't that what Christianity is for most? A bunch of blind folk leading more blind folk! Modern day whoring

  • It would be great if the protestant church would begin to open it's doors on other days of the week for church services. Many people these days have to work on Sundays. People in the church, come from church service on Sunday to the places where we work. They visit hospitals, ER's, restaurants, doughnut shops etc. Yet why is it that with all the changes and things a church will do that draws people in, it isn't working out having services on weekday mornings?

  • @Injeannieous I totally agree, I mean Sunday is just a traditional day, but I know of a few places that have Saturday night church. I have been to a couple and they were great. Of course you have people that say it's not biblical(whatever that means) but your point is the gospel applied in a very practical way.

  • @Injeannieous

    Good Question!!!!!

Many do have Church a night on Wednesdays...and Sunday evenings...We have programs for kids form toddlers to adults on wednesdays and Sundays...

  • Great word to encourage strengthen our resolve to strengthen others resolve to serve God.
